thank you John, glad you enjoyed it.
Dear all Club Members
I would like to thank the Lancelots for giving me the chance to go to Giggleswick this year.
I had a fantastic time and did all sorts of activities like caving, swimming, abseiling, rock
climbing, high ropes, assault course, quizzes, canoeing in Lake Windemere and going on lots
of rides at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. My favourite activity was canoeing and we all got to
jump in the lake at the end.
The food at Giggleswick was great and we had lots of choice. The breakfast was best
because we had a proper cooked breakfast every day and I only get one at the weekend at
home!
I learnt properly how to count carbohydrates and how to look on packets of foods to find
out how much carbs are in them. I am very happy to do my own working out now at home
without asking my Mum. I started injecting in my tummy again to give my arms a rest - I
got told off because they were all bruised! I had a look at other children who were using
pumps because I really wanted to try a pump but after seeing what they have to do I think
I might stay on my 4 injections as it seems a lot easier and not as painful.
We were told that they are not doing any more holidays at Giggleswick again and I am very
sad about this and hope they find a place just as good to carry on the holidays because
they are brill.
Thank you once again to the Lancelots John age 10
