Hello!
Your chance to find out more about the latest research into type 1 diabetes and
meet others affected by the condition.
I’d like to invite you to our Type 1 Discovery Day in Liverpool, April 27 th, 10:30am –
12:30pm. At the event you’ll be able to hear the latest developments in type 1 diabetes
research. And you can meet others affected by type 1. You will hear from some of the
country’s top type 1 diabetes researchers and clinicians, many of whom are funded by
JDRF. The presentations are aimed at lay people so you don’t have to be an expert to
attend. Plus each presentation is followed by an opportunity for you to ask questions.
Children are welcome too. They can sit and listen to the talks but we also have
entertainment for children in a separate room. Professor Brainstorm will be on hand to
perform some exciting, puzzling and fascinating experiments with a little help from the
audience!
The event will be held on Saturday 27th April at Liverpool Blue Coat School, Church
Road, Wavertree, Liverpool, L15 9EE. Places are limited so you’ll need to register early
to secure your place. Register online at www.jdrf.org.uk/discover. Alternatively you can
register by emailing cnormington@jdrf.org.uk, calling 0113 3805 621 or completing and
returning the form overleaf. Please note that attendance is by prior registration only.

You can also claim a year’s free subscription to JDRF’s magazine, Type 1 Discovery.
So, even if you’re not able to make it on the day you can still keep up to date with the
latest research. Everyone registering for the event will automatically receive the free
subscription. If you’re not able to attend but would like to register for the magazine
