The Christmas party was a huge
success. Everyone who came
enjoyed themselves playing ‘ice-
breaker’ games, courtesy of our
DJ’s. The children then played
lots of party games.
Special thanks to everyone who Father Christmas arriving.
came to help set up and pack
away. Thank you to Jackie’s mum
who donated those two
scrumptious cakes and to Jackie
for doing such a great job with
Santa’s Grotto. Thanks to Helen
who organised the raffle and her
children who helped sell the

tickets. Also to everyone who

donated raffle prizes and indeed
know!

make it such a wonderful time!
The caterer did a fantastic job,
the entertainment was superb and
I personally would like to Thanks to Santa
congratulate Angela for her and his ‘Little
outstanding team dancing with the Helper’
children!

2. The dates and venues for the family weekends and children’s holidays will be on the DUK
website soon, if anyone wishes to apply for funding please do so as soon as possible as places
are snapped up very quickly.
The ‘Mums’ meetings continue to be a success, a time when we can socialise and compare
stories of living with diabetes. It is very informal, why not pop in on the next one, you can
always leave if it’s not your ‘cup of tea’ and you may find it’s just what you were looking for.
