2. Do you think that my target audience of
females aged between 18-25 support my
media product?
The feedback that I received from the people who filled in my
questionnaire agreed that the film appealed to this target
market. Although this is my target audience people outside of
the age group especially girls younger than 18 also feel
pressured to look good from a young age.
3. Did you feel that the documentary
impacted you in any way? If so what part
impacted you the most?
Half of my audience found that after hearing the statistics and listening to the
publics views that they never realised how women felt and how much it really
does impact women in society today. They also said about how many people
then result in plastic surgery to feel what they call perfect.
Whereas the over half found that they were not as impacted when they were
listening to the professionals interview as they could understand them more.
4. Where the interviews believable and
realistic?
From the feedback I received, they found that the professional interview was
the most believable. I think the background that I chose for this interview also
helped it to seem as realistic as possible. This meant that the audience were
able to connect with the interviewee properly.
From the rest if feedback I found that the more public interviews where less
believable as the shots had a lot of background. I found it hard to find
backgrounds to help make my interviews look more realistic but I had to work
with it as there was only so many resources that I had. Lastly I think the scripts
to each interview where thought out well most of the little interviews from
Annie Read, Erin Miller and Amy Colegate where all real life thoughts on
society today and how they felt. I think this helped to connect with the
audience.
5. Do you think that the name ‘The Price
of Perfection’ fits the topic of the
programme?
The feedback that I receive for the name of my product was positive. Most
people said that it linked in well with the topic of the documentary as it
clearly shows that being perfect is pricey. The name of the documentary
clearly shows the audience what it was going to be about.
6. Do you think the music suited the
genre of the product?
My feedback was 50/50. Some of the feedback was that it helped set the
mood and fitted in well with the documentary making them feel more drawn
in. Where as some of the feedback was that it was slightly of tone and was
quite over powering for the documentary. This is something that I would like
to work more on. I found that the Professional documentary fitted in well with
the music and helped draw the audience in. I think that I would need to find
music that balanced out all the different scenes as it was a very upbeat tone.
7. Do you think the lighting that is used in
the product have been used effectively?
From the feedback that I received I found that the audience, they felt that the
lighting was effective and fitted in well with the documentary. They also said
how it made the documentary look a lot more realistic which is what I wanted.
I think that using different locations became a problem to help keep the
lighting in all footage match up with each other but using natural lighting can
help to make my documentary look realistic which has clearly helped from
looking at my feedback. Channel 4 use low key natural lighting, which help to
make it not look unrealistic.
