2. CAMERA – GENERAL FILMING
The camera that we will be using
to record footage for our
documentary is the Nikon
COOLPIX L330. We are going to
be using this camera because it
will provide us with the best
quality that we as students have
access to. This will result in us
having a professional finish to the
documentary.
3. CAMERA – TIME LAPSE
We will be using a GoPro to
record the time lapse that will be
a part of our documentary. We
will be using this as it has a
feature that will convert the
recorded footage into a time
lapse at an appropriate speed.
Again adding to the high quality
and professionalism of our
documentary.
4. TRIPOD
We will be using a basic tripod with a
spirit level. This will ensure that all of
the shots we take are steady and
focussed which will therefore add to
the professionalism of each
individual shot and the overall
outcome of the documentary. Using
a tripod has many advantages in
improving the look of shots for
example, if a tripod is used the
camera shake will be eliminated and
therefore looks professional.
5. LIGHTS
For our documentary the lights
that we are going to be using are
the LEDGO CN-600SC lights. We
will be using these to make sure
that our shots are to a high
quality in order to make our
overall finished documentary as
professional as possible.
6. SOUND
When recording the shots for our
documentary, we will need to
ensure that the sound is clearly
recorded as well otherwise our
audience will not be able to listen
to the sound very well. In order to
achieve a good sound quality we
will be using a Rode NTG2
microphone that has a 3 metres
long Boom Pole. We will be using
this to ensure that the sound
quality is at the highest standard
and is as clear as possible.
7. EDITING SOFTWARE
In terms of editing our
documentary we will be using two
different software's which are
iMovie and Adobe Premiere. We
have decided to use these two
pieces of software because they
provide the best quality editing and
they are easy to use.
In terms of editing the sound for
our documentary we are going to
be using the software Logic Pro as
it provides a professional editing
utility that allows us to alter the
audio efficiently.
