2. SKILLS DEVELOPED - VIDEO
I learned new techniques in terms of filming, for example I developed
by skills on different types of angles are effective when it comes to
videos which include close ups, long shots, creative shots (using
projections) and so on. Having that variation of shots taught me how
much more professional the video looks after post production. During
the editing process I learned many new skills, some of them would
include putting on effects on the video, speeding up video, cropping
videos and how to match up the lip syncing to the singing. These
skills could be further develop if I delve deeper into learning how to
use final cut pro for personal projects and hopefully would be useful
for me in the upcoming future. Lighting is a key part in making
something look visually attractive, even though natural light is always
the best way to make good quality video; artificial light can help with
making the video look more professional. Using a camera requires
knowing how to change the settings suited to your environment. For
example putting the ISO higher when it starts getting dark or making
the aperture smaller to make a shallow depth of field. These are all
the things I learned whilst I was working on the music video and print
products.
3. SKILLS DEVELOPED – PRINT
PRODUCTS
Photoshop has been my strong point because I
have been using it for many years, but every time I
come to do a project that I have never done I learn
new skills every time. These would include creating a
well composed image to then compose all the text
within it. I made sure there was enough space to
place the text on the image and made sure it was
visually pleasing to look at. Another skill I developed
is using colours to create a clear colour scheme. I
done this in my advert, I used blue and white to give
the advert some funk and make it more colourful
compared to the CD digipack which was just black
and white.
4. TECHNOLOGIES USED
I used all sorts of technologies during
the making of the video, these include
creating a whatsapp group to
communicate with my group, google
drive to store videos and print products,
prezi and emaze creating presentations
to pitch ideas. We also uploaded many
videos on to youtube whether it was a
lighting test or a quick rough cut of the
video.
