USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES

2. RESEARCH PLANNING
YOUTUBE
One of the main research source was
YouTube, in fact it helped me discover
useful and potential tracks for our case
studies. YouTube being such a
widespread social networking site
helped us access Sia's style/motifs
that are consistent throughout majority
of her videos which we could apply to
our own music video.

3. GOOGLE
Google was the most important tool in order to
formulate or arrange our music video together.
Through the use of Google we were able to
integrate the final music video to YouTube and
then embed the link on a blog post for blogger.
Further research into additional products which
have a similar genre to us in order to gain an
understanding in what genre conventions to
apply from professional videos and print
products . Also, Google helped educate us on
what sorts of theories to apply for representation.

4. MOODLE
Moodle equipped me and was my
resource centre for all the documents
that were required to complete the
tasks for example risk assessments,
talent form templates, call sheets,
treatment guide and a storyboard
template.

5. INSTAGRAM/ FACEBOOK
These two social networking sites were
utilised in order to do research on the
various distribution methods and whether
they are effective in terms of being able to
fulfil the needs of the audience and
expanding the fan base.
Instagram:
Through the use of
Instagram we were able to
arrange or make decisions
on what sorts of dates would
be ideal to film and hold
meetings.

6. CONSTRUCTION
CANON DSLR CAMERA & CANON EOS 7D MARK II DSLR
Both these cameras were quite simple and
straight forward to use as we had been instructed
on what affect each adjustments had on the
camera for example during the day the camera
wouldn't need any enhancements unless there is
imbalance in colours in which contrast would
balance that out. Overall the experience of using
both cameras was amazing because of the
outcome of both print product and music video.

7. CAMERA EQUIPMENT
We barely used the tripod but for the
desired effect of a steady motion when
used. Majority of the lighting was natural
lighting because of the time of the day we
decided to shoot in which made it easy for
us to gain good lighting.

8. FINAL CUT PRO
This source helped us edit the entire
music video on the iMac. However, I had
no previous experience on this which is
why it was a little difficult in terms of
adding additional features. As a group
we decided not to add a lot of effects as
we wanted to embed Sia's authentic feel
to it,

9. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
I used Adobe Photoshop which I was familiar
with from last year to create my print product
and edit images. The text that was used on
my print products was created through the
use of Photoshop too. I experimented on the
enhancements and tested what kinds of
effects would suit my house style.

10. EVALUATION
PREZI
Prezi is very open and easily
accessible why is why I made use of it
to present my work. Prezi is also one of
the formats that was consistently used
throughout my presentations and it can
easily be embedded onto blogger.

11. SLIDE SHARE
Slide share is the easiest platform
to apply information on and still
manages to look professional it's
also not time-consuming which is
why I chose to utilise it for my
evaluation.

12. BLOGGER
This is the platform that was our
main source to document all our
work on. It is easily accessible
through the use of being able to
download it on our devices and
helps keep each piece of work
stored in a dated layout order. It is
ideal because everything is
recorded one place.

13. As a group we
utilised our
strengths and our
weaknesses
effectively and
made use of this
productively
through our music
video by
combining all our
strengths.
My skills have
developed to an extent
from last year where I
have been able to trial
out new tools
