3. Working title
• I want to call my magazine UPDATE since most of my
readers is between 15-20. So I am making a magazine
that are modern, young and up to date. And I will have
music that is on the top list now. And all the new news
about those artist that are popular now. After you have
read the magazine you feel updated.
UPDATE UPDATE
4. GENRE OF MUSIC
• Based on my survey and interview, and after I have looked at
the different toplists. Pop is going to be the genre my music
magazine is based on, but also a bit of hip hop, rock and r&b.
Main focus is music that was on the top in 2015.
5. Cover Price
• My readers is mostly students and young, they are mostly
not to use their money on music magazine. So my
magazine must be cheap and stand out from the other
magazines. It can’t look cheap, because most of my
readers are in the middle or the higher class, so they can
buy a magazine to £3, not £2.99 because it looks cheaper
even if it’s the same.
6. Issue frequency
• My reader don’t often read music magazine, but they are
interested and listen a lot to music. So it will come a new
magazine every second months. Because then they have
time to read the magazine before a new come, and they
won't use so much money on it, because they don’t buy it
so often.
7. READER PROFILE
• Savannah is 18 years old and lives in
York. She is a student and have a
part time job. She likes listen to
music, and listen to music all day
when she is not in class or working.
She mostly listen to spotify top list
and pop. Music makes her happy, but
if she find a song that describe her
feelings it can make her sad too. She
doesn’t often read other things than
school books, but she likes going out
with friends. She loves festivals and
concerts, and go to many of them
trough the year. See artist live is fun,
but she thinks that they sound better
on spotify.
8. Style of magazine
Simple, clean and use red to make it more interesting. Similar to
these magazine cover, but I do it my way so it will be different.
9. Typical contents
• Interview with artist

19. Photography to front cover
• I want a clean front cover, with neutral colours like white,
grey and nude. I want to use studio to take a medium shot
portrait, just a photo of the artist. And I want a grey
background, but I can use white.
20. Photography to content page
• I need at least 2 or 3 photos on my content page of
different artist. With a few music props, like a guitar at one
of the photos. I want the same background on all of them
to link all of the photos. Maybe one close up and one long
shot to make it more different from each other but still the
same.
21. Photography to double page spread
• Same person as on the front cover, but different clothes
not only white. In a long shot so you can see more of the
artist, she is a singer so not any props. A landscape photo
with a lot of space on the left side that fills the whole
page. And the background have one colour that is easy to
write on, like white or grey.
24. Models
• A girl with blond hair to the front cover( high key)
• A boy on the contentspage
• A brunette or someone other then the girl on the frontpage
• A group of people.
25. Location
• White or grey background, outside or In studio to get good
light.
• Basic location, the background should disturb the models
or the photos.
26. Costume
• White top, another colour on jeans. Jacket in black.
• Rock, black with leather jacket
• Normal clothes, t shirt in a colour or white. Not black.
