they’re targeted at teenagers and have no gender biases. Except my
audience is a little different because it is aimed at teenagers/ young adults

more urban magazine but I felt this was not the right path and changed it to a
more classy and elegant teens and young adult magazine because it is what
most young people are into these days because the magazine reflects a
sense of maturity through the use of language and images

3. • I have used an attractive model to get male and female attention.
Females may idolise her therefore want to read up on her. My
male readers may find her attractive therefore choose to read
the article. Beyoncé is a good example
• Colours are not gender bias and because they’re simple and
elegant they create and show a sense of maturity which my older
readers may be attracted to.
• In my contents page I have included a ‘GIG’ section which
appeals to teens and young adults as they stereotypically enjoy
going out to concerts and having fun, I have also got a
competition which gives away tickets.
