6. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
⢠All of them are to do with historical battles both modern and ancient and they
therefore have the same tone of war and conflict. All the images take place
around battlefields. The ancient battle scenes have golden glow to them as
they are all imagined. The modern battle scenes have a cold hard feel to them
as they are taken from actual photographs, lots of them are black and white
due to their age adding to this feeling. All the images have a dynamic moody
feel to them.
How will your mood boards influence your final product?
This is the stuff I want to make as this images are my inspiration I want to use the
feeling of power and movement in my final product shown in these images. I want
to try and merge both old battles and new battles together to give my final
product an interesting feel. The only thing that the mood boards and final product
have in common is that they are moments in history with a dynamic battle scence
feel to them. The final product didnât use the same colours as the ancient or
modern mood board because I wanted a to create something with a different âout
of timeâ feeling to it. The images were very graphic and bold.

8. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
My face âself Portraitâ ⢠Whilst I first thought this could be a great idea as I could
morph my face and put myself in some interesting
situations I thought that the idea behind my final project
was far more interesting to me personally. I also thought
that the audience would be limited as there are only a
small number of people who know who I am and it
would take time to create a following
⢠I would have produced images on mugs, t-shirts &
posters but without a following there would be no
market for them
Celebrities ⢠I had though about getting famous people and making
strange famous couplings or getting them to do everyday
tasks which could have been funny and poke fun at the
âculture of celebrityâ I felt that it was an interesting idea
but also not as powerful as the âwar never changes
messageâ.
⢠I had wanted to create images, posters & t-shirts but as
celebrities popularity changes quickly it would be
important to choose the right celebrity and as I'm not
into celebrity culture this may have been difficult for me
to get right.
