Working Title: historical conflicts ‘War never Changes’
Product’s Purpose: to show viewer that battles have been fought across the centuries and
that ‘war never changes’. This should be thought provoking. I want to use scenes from
historical and modern battles to create an interesting combination image and show how
war was fought then and now. I want to use battles or events that have real historical and
social impacts to gain viewer attention.
Genre: image. The image will be a combination image using both ancient and modern battle
scenes. The final image will have an interesting & dramatic look to it
Content: Conflicts and battles through history. I will include a message and meaning to
give substance to the image or images.
What I hope to show is that wars have been going on for thousands of years and that ‘war
never changes’ the technology may change but wars continue to be fought all around the
world for the same reasons. I am hoping to use a combination of ancient battle scenes and
a modern battle scenes fighting each other which I personally find an interesting concept.
BE SPECIFIC WRITE OUT WHAT EACH FINAL IMAGE WILL INCLUDE IN WORDS
Ie images from medieval /Vietnam filters gradients etc
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience: Anyone who is interested in Protest Art also those who are interested in
contemporary art, current affairs, politics and people with a social conscience. The image I
believe is for people who are of an age that can understand the concept and impact of war
so not children below the age of 12 the gender doesn’t matter and the social status is any
one who has access to the internet. I feel that the image will probably appeal more to men
due to its visual content as men tend to be more interested in war themes than women but I
think the concept that ‘war never changes will appeal to women asthey will probably buy
into the idea of the futility of war.
ADD IN AUDIENCE CLASSIFICATION FROM BLACK BOARD
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your game appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations: The content might be to complex for children, there is not a
lot of offensive material younger but the concept of war may be too much for a young child
to understand. The material will be constructed of battles that could never have happen
due to being fought at different times so this shouldn’t upset anyone who had lost family in
a modern war. I will also think very carefully before choosing which scenes to use.
I will also have to consider the images that I use due to the project being ma de up of other
people’s work and photographs as this could cause problems with publishing rights and
copyright law so there is no copyright infringement and I don’t get sued. I will have to use
images that do not have these restrictions.
