2. The drawing above shows a common social behaviour which I guess everyone has
experienced once in a lifetime. In social life, we always make a lot of judgements to others
based on their appearances, sex, age and races in first impression. Somehow, making these
judgements helps us guide our behaviour to interact appropriately with others. However, this
is also kind of disrespectful to those people who being judged when we making negative
judgements towards them.
The social behaviour shown is related to stereotyping as we frequently stereotype people’s
appearances and determine our behaviour to them. This leads us to treat people differently
after making judgements and proved that people who physically attractive could get more
goods compared to one another. Stereotyping is closely related to prejudice and
discrimination because this three always work together.
Different act or treat towards others on the basis of stereotyping makes self-fulfilling
prophecy occurs. Our expectations about the personality of others lead us to behave in way

3. that makes those beliefs come true. We would probably act in the same way after
stereotyping that one person was also act in that way to interact with each other more easily.
Representative heuristic is used when we judging others. People often rely on
representativeness when making judgements but they are likely to judge wrongly of others.
As an example, that three girls might be judge about how poor is that girl they judge in the
picture by looking at her simple costume.
Availability heuristic would come across after representative heuristic is used. An
availability heuristic is mental shortcut that relies on immediate examples that come to mind.
When we judging a person, a few judgements might flow in our mind and this heuristic helps
us to simplify these judgements.
