Thisis mymusicvideofinal edit;mychosensongwas
Bakermat- One Day.The strengthsformy projectIthinkare
the contrasts of coloursthat were featured;these were not
editedbutwere howwe filmedthe scene.Idecidedtomake
no changes to the contrast as I felt theywere verystrongand
helpedwiththe moodof the song.
Secondly, anotherstrength thatIfeel makesthe musicvideo
effectiveis howthe footage smoothlymovestothe next
withoutanytransitions.Idecidednottouse anyeffectstodo
thisas I feltitwouldn’thave helpedmake mymusicvideo
effectiveandIdon’tthinkthat these transitionswouldhave
matchedthe song. Lastly,anadditional strengthwouldbe
the order of the video footage;Ithinkthe placementworks
reallywell andtellsastory.
One of the effectsIdecidedtouse wasthe mirror effect;I
chose thisas I feltthatwiththe song beinginthe deephouse
genre thistransitionwentverywellwithit.AnotherreasonI
chose thiswas because itshownwhothe camerawas
focusingonand clearlyshownyouwhatthe protagonists
were doing.
AnothereffectIusedwasslowmotion;Idecidedtouse this
effectasI feltitwouldbe mosteffectiveandwouldclearly
showwhatthe protagonistswere clearlydoing.Another
reasonI chose thiseffectwasbecause eventhoughthe song
fallsunderthe genre of deephouse italsoincludesjazz.
Where thiswasplayed I activatedthe slow motioneffect
because Ifeel like it portraysthe protagonistsdancingtothe
music.
2. However,Ifeel one of myweaknessesformymusicvideo
wouldbe that I didn’tinclude alotof effects. one effectthat
I was interestedinincludingwouldhave beentorewinda
piece of footage,butIfearedthat thiseffectdidnothelp
make the videoeffective asIdidn’tthinkitwouldhave
matchedthe genre of the song.
