Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Puzzle mega this is because from the beginning of my planning I wanted to include the
theme name which is ‘puzzle’ so therefore my audience are aware when reading the
name and can easily picture which genre game this is. In my research PowerPoints I
explored other similar games, and most included the theme in the name, and I liked this
idea, mega reminded me of (getting bigger) and the idea of my puzzle game is leveling
up and each round gets more difficult to puzzle the audience.
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
This product is to entertain my audience I will achieve this by making sure the products
looks interesting and has a bright colour scheme to attract my female audience they
might also enjoy completing puzzles when for example if they are bored or have
nothing to do this is a great time for a puzzle game. The ease of access is simple on
most mobile devices in the app store which is also a free game to download. I will make
it look enjoyable by adding unusual background ds this will also stand out to my
audience as something which looks different, this could also be to educate with them
learning their own skills and developing on using their education and brain for this type
of game. Which could be great for also a younger audience to help with their own
education including school and they will improve in this.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
The genre of my puzzle game is pattern guessing game this is because my game
involves different icons which need moving around to match up these icons are gems
such as hearts and diamonds, the background music is also an example from an actual
puzzle game therefore this gives my audience an idea to that this game is puzzle
themed.my game is also very interactive because my audience will get involved
through different levels challenging them and the shapes of the icons match up but
become more difficult throughout the game.
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a
story? If so, discuss it here
My product is a puzzle themed game in which is a brain training and skills developing
this game doesn’t involve a storyline because it’s a game that includes different levels
and the gems and the candy’s are shown on a grid layout and the audience have to
move them around to collect bonuses and level up each time they finish a row
collecting coins and surprises there is also sound effects and backing music to the
game this music will be calm and relaxing while solving the puzzle, therefore the
audience can focus on the game and not be distracted or put them off. Specific colours
I will include are purple, pink and red this a saturated and are feminine colours which
appeal to my female audience, which will attract them. They will see in my game a
background which focuses on the theme of sweets, deserts and a table as a main focus
including different type of icons such as hearts, and other sweets or gems I did this
because it all relates back to my audience.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
My audience age range is 18-34, females because older aged women in their free time
like to enjoy time to relax and maybe play a mind game which this is game would be
great for this audience. My secondary audience would be 5-16 this is because my game

can also appeal to younger audience as of my saturated colour schemes and the theme
of gems and sweets which mainly appealsto this audience. The psychographic is
achieves this is because they will feel like they have accomplished something by
achieving new levels and testing the audience’s skills. The social status is balanced
because this links in to achievers and anyone with different class.
Research and Planning
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production?
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production?
From my research and planning I will include the pixelated idea and will also involve the
same layouts of my mood board on my research PowerPoint and also Photoshop is
something I struggle with so my ideasfrom my experimentswill be used in my final
products these will be produced even better as I have practiced and learnt a lot more of
editing in photoshop especially with the pixels and background and began creating
simple things to now adding backgrounds and making it look more professional and
detailed.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
I won’t be using any offensive materials in my product and younger audiences are able
to play this because m secondary audience was targeted much lower. This wouldn’t
offend anyone as this is a simple puzzle game. I also won’t be using characters or any
storylines this will just involve different levelsand my logo is my own which I produced
myself, my product may be similar but won’t be exactly the same as existing products
as I would want to get sued for copyright infringement, these are all my own ideas and
produced into a game. The ASA codes are honest through my advertising.
