Swot analysis
1. SWOT Analysis
Strengths – I believe that there are many strengths in my script. The main one being the
dialogue in the script, this is because I feel that it captures the genre conventions well due to
there being many plot twists and lots of drama throughout. This will therefore appeal to the
target audience as this is what they want to see is a drama film, I also feel that it is relatable to
the audience too. I also think that another strength is the structure of the script as it is clear
and easy to understand for anyone reading it.
Weaknesses – I feel I have a couple of weaknesses in my script. The first one being the scene
descriptions as it could be difficult to understand the setting or the opening of the scene;
however on my final script I didn’t receive any negative feedback on this. The other weakness I
feel is that there is a lack of different locations and therefore could maybe become a bit
repetitive for the audience, however the filmwouldn’t make sense if I changed this.
Opportunities– The opportunities for this script is that it can lead to a successful filmdue to
it being clear to understand and having key conventions of the drama genre to appeal to the
target audience. I also feel that the script also has potential to be extended in some places to
perhaps make it even better and include some sub genres to attract a wider target audience.
Threats – On the other hand, I think that the threats to the script and the overall outcome is
that it could be confusing for some reading it for the first time and could then be put off
watching the fil. This may hinder how well the film does; although I haven’t had any negative
feedback on this which suggests it is relatively straight forward to understand.
