FADE IN:
SCENE 1: INT. BILLY’S LOUNGE – DAY
(1) BILLY AND JASON ARE SAT ON THE SOFA IN THE LOUNGE OF
JESS AND BILLY’S HOUSE. THEY ARE DISCUSSING ABOUT
WHERE TO GO ON A LAD’S HOLIDAY.
BILLY
(2) Seriously though, where are we gonna go?
JASON
(3) I’m thinking like Ayia Napa or Magaluf,
it’ll be warm and think of the clubs aswell.
BILLY
(4) Hmmm… they would be good but then Jess
would think I’m cheating on her going
somewhere like that.
JASON
(5) You worry way too much about what she thinks
mate.
(6) They continue discussing before they are interrupted
by Jess asking Billy to get something from the shop.
This means that Jess and Jason are alone, meaning
they begin to talk about Billy behind his back.
JESS
(7) Billy…
BILLY
(8) What now?
JESS
(9) Can you go to the shop to get dinner please?
BILLY
What’s wrong with your legs?
Jess looks angrily, whilst Billy rolls his eyes
Fine!

[Billy exits]
JESS
(10) You can’t go on holiday with him, we need
to tell him.
JASON
That’s the worst thing we could do.
Cuts to:
SCENE 2: INT. KITCHEN – DAY
(11) Jess and Jason are now stood in the kitchen. Whilst
Billy returns from the shop carrying a bag.
BILLY
(12, 13) I’m back, you can stop talking about me
now.
(14) Jess and Jason both look at each other very
awkwardly.
JASON
(15, 16) Right! I’m going to have to go see you
both soon.
[Jason exits]
JESS
(17) So where have you decided to go then?
BILLY
I don’t know, somewhere hot.
JESS (WHILST TEARING UP)
(18) I don’t want you to go anywhere.
BILLY
What? Why?
JESS
Umm...I I I’m pregnant.

BILLY
(19) Oh my god that’s amazing!
JESS
(20) Yeah I suppose.
BILLY
I don’t understand why you’re not happy?
JESS (SHRUGGING)
No, I am.
BILLY
Ok well I can still go on this holiday
can’t I?
JESS
I don’t know.
Cuts to:
SCENE 3: INT. BILLY’S LOUNGE – EVENING
(21) Billy gets an answerphone message from Jason. Billy is
very confused and suspicious as Jason is acting very
weirdly on the answerphone.
JASON
(22) [Answerphone message] Hi, um mate just ringing
to um let you know that I can’t make the holiday.
You will soon know why. Sorry.
Cuts to:
SCENE 4: INT. BILLY’S KITCHEN – EVENING
Billy calls Jess, she doesn’t pick up so he leaves a
message.
BILLY
(23, 24) Hi babe it’s only me, just calling to
let you know that Jason can’t make the holiday so I

was wondering if you wanted to come. If so where are
the suitcases? Speak to you later, love you.
JESS
(25, 26) Text Message] Can’t speak now, cases are
under bed in spare room. Passports in front pocket.
Cuts to:
SCENE 5: INT. BILLY’S HOUSE – DAY
(27, 28, 29, 30) Billy goes upstairs to find the suitcases
in the spare room where he reaches for the passports inside
and he finds his with a note inside. He reads this in his
head but the audience can hear Jess’ voice.
JESS (VOICE OVER)
(31) I know that I have been acting weird recently
and there is a good reason why. You may think it’s
because I’m pregnant and it is. But it’s because I’m
pregnant with someone else’s baby. I have wanted to
tell you for ages but couldn’t bring myself to. I
will be going away with the father. This is also why
you won’t be seeing Jason for a while… because he is
the father. We have been seeing each other for a
while now and I’m so sorry but he is the one for me.
We have left money for you, a bit anyway. But if you
cared about me you wouldn’t be angry at me. By the
time you read this I’ll be on the plane. Sorry
Billy.

SCENE 6: EXT. JASON’S CAR – DAY
(33) and Jess are in the car getting ready to drive the
airport. Jess looks very worried and has tears in her eyes.
Jason puts his hand on Jess’ stomach and reassures her and
the baby.
JASON
(34) We’ll be ok, trust me.
(35, 36) Jess begins to sob
