2. From my audience feedback I have discovered
what worked well for my film poster, magazine
cover and film trailer and also what the
audience felt did not work so well and I also
found a few areas which could be improved.
This positive and constructive feedback is
therefore useful in helping me with the
production of future media projects which are
similar to this. In future projects I will be sure to
include all of the elements which the audience
enjoyed and said worked best. However, I will
make changes in the areas where the audience
have made suggestions of improvement.
3. Print Feedback
In my Feedback for the film
poster it is clear that the
audience liked the unusual
central image as it is both eye
catching and mysterious.
Therefore I have learnt that it is
important for a poster to have
something unique which will
capture the attention of the
audience and also give some
idea of what they can expect to
see in the film.
4. The feedback also suggested that the colours
of the poster were effective and as the red has
connotations of both danger and love.
Therefore I found that the poster was
successful in demonstrating some of the
themes that are used in the trailer/film.
To improve my poster it was suggested in my
audience feedback that the names of the main
actors/stars should be included. My audience
felt that knowing who is in the film can also be
another factor which persuades them to go and
see the film when it is released.
5. I found that the audience liked the
central image of the magazine as
having the main character of the
film with their back to the
audience again created a sense of
mystery. This is very different from
most film magazines as they
usually have the main character in
the middle of the cover but facing
the audience. Therefore I found
that sometimes challenging
convention can work better and be
successful with new media
products.
However the feedback did suggest
that the smaller parts of the text
(white text) could stand out more
and therefore this tells me that the
audience are interested in the
whole magazine and therefore
every part of it must stand out and
fit with the theme of the entire
6. Trailer
With the feedback for the trailer I found that
the range of different shots such as close
ups and long shots worked well and also
that the audience enjoyed the sense of the
unknown which is created through the way
that these shots are edited together.
I also found that the contrast in the colours
and lighting is successful as the audience
could identify the different moods which are
created in the trailer.
7. It was also clear that the audience enjoyed the
action shots of the trailer such as when the
female character is running after the car as it
quickly drives away. Therefore this means that
in a trailer the audience want to see some of
the most exciting parts of the film as it is these
scenes that they are most look forward to
seeing.
8. I also found in the audience feedback for my trailer
that the music I used was not as successful as I had
hoped it would be. Some felt that the music did not
build enough throughout the trailer and as it is a
thriller they were expecting the music to build up to
something bigger happening at the end. Therefore if I
was to change the music I would try to find something
that starts slower but then has a dramatic build up
towards the end of the trailer.
I did not use any dialogue in the trailer as I was
unsure of how I could use it successfully, however I
found that the audience wanted some dialogue as it
would allow them to have a greater understanding of
the story being told.
9. As the audience felt that the action shots worked
well in the trailer I will use more shots similar to
this if I have to create a trailer for this genre again
in the future as I have learnt that they can help to
establish the genre of the film.
Overall, from my audience feedback I have learnt
that there are many aspects of my media products
which work well and I can continue to use in the
future. I have also found that there are some parts
of my media products which could be changed to
improve the overall impact they have on the
audience.
10. As the audience felt that the action shots worked
well in the trailer I will use more shots similar to

in the future as I have learnt that they can help to
establish the genre of the film.
