Risk What can be done to stop it?
1) The equipment/propscouldcause the actors
and the crewaccidentsif theyare leftoutor in
theirway.
Ensure that the equipmentiskepttidyatall
timesandthat the locationsare tidyand
practical for filming.If anythingneedstobe
takenout (camera,tripod) thenmake sure they
are clearto the cast andthat I make them
aware theyare there andto watch theirfooting
at all times.
2) As part of the narrative Iwill be usingfire to
burn pictureswhichwill involve one actor
(Anna) andthis isa majorhazard for themand
alsomyself.
Make sure that theyare aware that I want
themto workwithfire before filmingitwith
themand to testa trial run before filmingthem
withthe fire sowe know the extentof the
flames.Alsowe willneedtohave material to
put itout withusat all timesduringfilming
these scenessowe can putit out inany case of
emergencies.
3) I require one of myactors (Anna) to drive in
theircar, and if theyare focusedonactingthen
theymay lackconcentrationfromdrivingitself.
Ensure that I make the actors aware theyneed
to concentrate onthe acting at all timesandif
theyfeel uncomfortable atanytime filmingcan
stopimmediately.Ensure general precautions
are meti.e.seatbelts,headrestraints.
4) All of my actors will be requiredtoruninto
the sea,whichmeanstheycouldtripup on the
sand andcouldfall overinthe sea.
In orderto preventanyharm to themI will
needtomake themaware to watchtheir
footingsatall timesandthat if theywant
filmingtoendat anytime if theyfeel
uncomfortable itwill endimmediately.Iwill
alsoneedto make themaware to be sensiblein
the sea as itwill be verycoldand couldcause
someone tofall overinthe seaand thismust
be preventedatall costs.
5) Duringproduction,Iwill be transportingthe
camera andtripodwithme at all times.This
couldcause themto be susceptible todamage.
I will needtomake sure totake true care with
the equipmentatall timesandwhentravelling
withthemto make sure theyare safelyplaced.
If any memberof the cast or crew isto carry
any equipmentIwill alsoneedtoensure that
theyknow the risksthat couldbe causedby
bandhandlingof the equipment.
