This document provides an overview and syllabus for a course on wireless networks. The course objectives are to understand wireless network concepts, analyze network layer solutions, study 3G protocols and applications, and gain knowledge on interconnecting WLANs and WWANs. The syllabus covers topics like wireless LAN technologies, mobile network layer, 3G overview, interconnecting WLANs and WWANs, and 4G networks. The course aims to make students conversant with the latest 3G/4G networks and able to design wireless environments for applications. Opportunities exist in networking engineering roles and certifications can be obtained in areas like Cisco, CompTIA, and ethical hacking.
