95 Agression Survey
The purpose of this assignment is to analyze the 95% confidence interval and conduct a hypothesis test to determine if the average amount of
vehicles that pass through the intersection at five minute intervals is greater than 70. We would like to see if it is worth it to set up advertising at
this intersection or not. The advertising firm that we are conducting these tests for says that if the average flow either in the afternoon or the morning
is greater than 70 vehicles, then it is justified to advertise there. In our opinion, both these tests are valid in determining the average traffic flow;
however, we believe that the confidence interval will give the firm a better understanding of the data. The confidence intervals that we found both
with the outliers and without are similar. The confidence interval for AM vehicles with outliers is [66.41, 78.31], the confidence interval for AM
vehicles without outliers is [66.26, 76.31]. The confidence interval for PM vehicles with outliers is [73.25, 83.89], the confidence interval for PM
vehicles without outliers is [73.83, 82.95]. Even though there might be a slight difference with and without the outliers, both confidence intervals for
AM vehicles do not reach 70 for the lower bound, but exceed at the higher bound. For the PM vehicles, both confidence intervals exceed 70 for both
upper and lower bounds. This satisfies... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the AM Vehicles, we also cannot reject the null hypothesis at any alpha level, which may lead the firm to believe the actual amount of traffic
passing through is much lower than 70. However, in our confidence interval, it shows that the lower bounds are actually just around 66, which gives
them greater peace of mind about

Theme Of Selfishness In All My Sons
People Are Selfish According to The Washington Post, 70% of the American population is classified as being selfish. ("Americans are patriotic,
honest, lazy, and selfish, according to Americans: The Washington Post") Selfishness is displayed in the play All My Sons, as there is much conflict
centered around one family relating to the ideas of marriage, death, and lying. In this play, the author, Arthur Miller, reveals that most people really do
not care about others, by showing that they are indeed selfish, so they can look better than other people. This is portrayed by the character Joe Keller.
Joe's selfishness is shown through how he blames others, and tries to cover up his mistakes, rather than owning up to them. This interpretation is
important because it makes the reader think of how they act, and if they would be that 70% of the American population that is considered selfish. First,
Miller illustrates how Joe acts selfish by depicting how he blames others. In the contents of the play, Joe tends to blame Steve, his previous business
partner, for the majority of his problems. Throughout the play Steve is in jail because Joe blamed him for manufacturing, and distributing all of the
defective plane parts that eventually lead to the death of twenty–one innocent pilots. Miller shows that Joe was indeed responsible for the
manufacturing of the defective plane parts and let Steve face the repercussions of those actions. When Joe refers to himself by stating, ". . .

What Was The Culture Like In The 1970's
Have you ever wanted to know what the 1970's were like? Do you wish you can go back in time and explore the 1970's? Maybe your parents were
born in the 70's and you want to see what life was like for them? Well in this essay I'll show you what the culture was like in the 1970's. There was a
big cultural change from the 1960's to the 1970's I will explain how food, cars, Tv, and technology all play a big part in the cultural change. You
may not know this, but food really shapes one's culture. The 70's was a great time for food and candy. Combos, Reese's Pieces, the Egg McMuffin,
both Cocoa and Fruity Pebbles, granola bars, Twix, and instant ramen were all loved in the 70's and even now. Some of the food was invented in the

Cars in the 70's underwent a big change. In 1968 all cars and trucks required seat belts so new cars in the 70's were coming out with seat belts. Also in
the 70's there was a big oil crisis. Cars in the 70's had very boxy design so the solution was to make cars aerodynamic. Not only did the make the car
get better mpg but they also made the cars faster. Some of the iconic cars of the 70's was the AMC Gremlin– which was like the prius of the 70's–,
1977 FireBird, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Pinto – another prius like car –, Lamborghini Countach, Second generation Ford Mustang, and Lamborghini

70's Decade
The 70's decade was a milestone in US (United States) history for many reasons. It was an important stride in women's rights, sports, education,
politics, global issues, and helping nature. From catchy phrases, to presidential scandals, the 70's decade majorly contributed to our US history. One
major event in the 70's was sports for many reasons. Cassius Clay had defended his title 8 times, but in 1967 outside the ring, he lost a major battle.
He was convicted of refusing to submit induction into the armed services (Our Century 55). The World Boxing Association the stripped him of his title
and barred him from the ring. Back in 1964, Clay had joined the Black Muslims, and eventually took the Muslim name, Muhammad Ali, which is what

New laws were made to protect drinking water and established smokestack standards. The first "Earth Day", happened on April 22, 1970, and it
was meant to be a day where students could learn about the Earth. More than 12,00 high schools and colleges suspended class for a day to learn
about Earth, and thousands of Elementary schools picked up trash and litter (Stewart 51). Hundreds of thousands gathered in New York, and
Washington DC to show support for the new concern and protest the abuse of land, air, water, and wildlife (Stewart 51). There was also a big kick
on air pollution. Many gas stations held up signs saying "no gas", so the gas stations still open had lines going for miles. The waits would last for

Dick Van Rouge Show Research Paper
Working Title The Dick Van Dyke Show is a family classic that any generation can enjoy. The show is full of adventures and humor. The show
also has a good story plot to keep anybody wanting more. The Dick Van Dyke Show was an influential show because of the origins of the show, the
exposition of trends and fads in the show, and the effects the show made on the world. The creator of The Dick Van Dyke Show, Carl Reiner, made the
show very similar to his own life (David Krell). Carl Reiner added the number 1 to his former address: 48 Bonnie Meadow in New Rochelle, to be Rob
Petrie's (Dick Van Dyke) address in the show (Krell). Like Carl Reiner, Rob Petrie drove to Manhattan everyday for his job. (Krell). The show was like
an everyday person's life, so it made it more relatable. Another inspirations for The Dick Van Dyke Show were some shows from the nineteen–fifties,
Your Show of Shows, and Caesar's Hour (Krell). The Dick Van Dyke Show was on the air for five years, from 1961 to 1966 (Krell). Even though some
of the inspiration was from the fifties, it was still a great show in the sixties. The Dick Van Dyke Show came from aspects of Carl Reiner's life, but it
easily connected to many others. The exposition of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

By doing this, women grew more confident and comfortable with themselves. Mary Tyler Moore would not have been a star and hosted The Mary

What Has Changed Parenting In The 1960's And 1970
Throughout the years parenting has changed in many ways. Some of these changes are positive and some have been negative and have been corrected.
Parenting continues to change even today from the methods in the past based on new studies and known information about development. Different
styles occur over time that separate that era from another. The 1960's and 1970's are no exception.Parenting continued to change in the 60's and 70's
as similar to how they have always and will continue to change. Parenting in the 60's and 70's was unique due to little research, lack of physical
restrictions, social trends, and views of kids' capabilities. One thing that made parenting in the 1960's and 70's different from other time periods was

Throughout the years many fads have taken place that we look back a laugh at but were widely practiced at the time. This period has a lot of these
fads that would easily be questioned. It is peculiar to think why parents would ever do these things now but some actions were very common back
then. Anthea Rowan describes, "By three months babies could eat bacon and eggs, and by six months mothers were urged to give them a daily
coffee" (Rowan). Usually babies do not start eating solid food for much later. Back then however, solid food was a common item to be had by babies
as many doctors supported this fad with little to no proof for its positive effects. This is obviously an odd occurrence but was followed on a wide
scale. Many people believed that whatever your doctor said had to be true. Therefore, without any research these fads could appear and be strictly
followed. Brie Dyas explains "In 1972, Mother & Baby magazine suggested only washing your baby twice a week" (Dyas). Many fads have come and
past and will continue to appear but it is important to see the mistakes in past fads and grow from

Television 's Influence On Television
Throughout history television has seen many changes such as improved acting, special effects, graphics, camera work, ideas, and many other changes.
Cop/Investigation shows are the focus of his paper. Investigation shows in particular have become more in depth and realistic. During the 60's
television exploded. There was 245 million TV sets in American homes. At the time, that was more TV sets than people in the United States. With all
the turmoil with the JFK assassination, early stages of the Vietnam War, the lifestyle of "Sex, Drugs, and Rock n' Roll and others, television was used to
reach out to people. During the 70's television began to become even more popular because people started liking it more and people were able to
afford it. That changed the way television was represented and what was on television. Cop shows from these two era's started getting more
realistic. Crime, cop, or investigation shows in the 70's are more realistic than those shows of the 60's. In the 60's shows like "I Spy", and "Adam
12" started to turn up. Starting in 1965 "I Spy" is about a pair of intelligence agents that go on secret missions around the world as a response to
"James Bond" Movies. "A pair of American agents faces espionage adventures with skill, humor and some serious questions about their work.

Homosexuals In I Love Lucy And The Andy Griffith Show
As the years have gone by, you can see the change of how gays and lesbians are widely seen in mostly every tv show or movie in today's society.
This is something most of our own parents didn't even grow up seeing gays throughout the media. Living in today's time period, you're able to see
how the influence has changed the way people see gays and lesbians. The nation has become more accepting of the gay and lesbian culture verses
back in the days of when our parents and even grandparents were our age. Not only was is rare to see homosexuals on television, it was portrayed
negatively, and now you can see it portrayed positively. Shows like "I Love Lucy" and "The Andy Griffith Show", you wouldn't dream of seeing a

As Bea Mitchell wrote on the "Pinknews", "Often credited as the first LGBT person on primetime TV was a character called Steve, played by Philip

O'Connor) makes wrongheaded assumptions about a friend of a friend, only to discover that his own friend Steve is, indeed, gay." ( Pinknews,
2017). You also start to see transgenders on television on the 70's too. Bea Mitchell also said, Similarly, in 1977, Norman Lear's CBS sitcom The
Jeffersons featured a trans character, but only in one episode, called 'Once a Friend'. The instalment depicts George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley)
as he learns that his old Army buddy Eddie is now a transgender woman named Edie (Veronica Redd)." (Pinknews, 2017). You start to have a regular
gay character on a tv show as well in the 70's. As Bea Mitchell wrote, "1977 sitcom Soap is sometimes thought to have featured the first recurring gay
character, Jodie Dallas, played by Billy Crystal – but he had a predecessor, who we'll get to shortly." (Pinknews, 2017). In the 70's is when societal

Semiotics In That 70s Show
Introduction Semiotics can be defined as the study of symbols and signs particularly with regard to how they are used to create meaning and
communicate it to others. Semiotics also offers tools that make it possible to uncover the cultural conventions and codes that highlight the period to
which a setting was placed and interpret meanings behind the symbols (Berger, 2014). In the pilot episode of "That 70s Show", it is possible to apply
semiotic analysis since there are various signs and symbols that reveal different elements of the show. Different signifiers in the episode and what they
portray helps the audience to interpret the message that the producer is trying to convey. That 70s Show has a large presence of signs, signifiers, codes
and ideologies that relate to teenage relationships and their lives in general during the 1970s. Additionally, it is important to highlight character
placement and the semiotics involved pertaining to the viewers.
Parents–son relationship The character Eric and his father form an important conflict in the storyline. His father, Red, is a conservative war veteran
who is an all–American and very patriotic. He hates the Korean War despite the fact that he fought in it and he has a difficult time adapting to the

Character Dilemmas In The 50s, 80s, And 00's
The overall theme is to show money isn't everything, sometimes money can be the root of evil. When people come into money it can change their
way of thinking. The theme of money relates to the 5 episodes of each decade (50s, 70s, 80s,90s and 00's). Each character has money dilemmas;
throughout this paper it will discuss each character dilemma, and how they dealt with their problem. Looking for shows was the hardest part, especially

I chose this episode for a lot of reasons: this episode relates to what many teenagers face, once they get a job they feel a sense of freedom. When I first
got my job, I felt like an adult, well you can't consider a 16–year–old an adult. Another reason this episode was memorable was the life lesson taught,
just because you have money don't let it be your downfall, with money comes great responsibility. For the 70's era I chose an iconic show Good
Times, the show focuses on the Evans family (James, Florida, James Jr, Thelma and the youngest son Michael). They live in the inner–city projects of
Chicago; this show has a lot of good laughs and great life–lesson throughout the series. The episode that was chosen was The Windfall (IMDb,2016).
This episode starts off when the father James finds a bag of money containing 27,000 dollars, being that the show dates to the 70s and the family lives
in the ghetto that's a lot of money. However, his wife feels he should do the right thing and turn in the money to the police. The reason why I chose this

African Americans And Film And Television Production

have enhanced not only the technology of television and film but also enhanced the story line of American Television. As contributors, African
Americans have made the kind of changes that affected television and the outside world. These shows were made to relate to the average African
American family. However, over the past few years, the so called demographic of "relatable'' television has been questioned on it's positive or negative

During the 60's the civil rights movement was a powerful effort towards equality for the black community. Although African American's were not

important as their rights for equality. The 60's might be one of the most effective time for television, theatre or film.
The civil rights movement had a powerful impact of the African American community as a whole. After the movement and several victories over the
laws of discrimination from the governement, black people found themselves appearing nearly everywhere. From drawing conclusions, the 70's was
the peak of African Americans in film, television, theatre and even music. So far as the music industry, Black artists were making empowering songs
to encourage the solidarity and pride in being a black person. African Americans also made music about current events in the world. Artists such as
Marvin Gaye made songs about war, protests and moral issues of the government. In music, the intellect and thoughts of an African American was
displayed by their lyrics. No one infiltrated their songs because it was their own creations. However, this was not the same case in movies cast and
written for black people.
Movies in the 70's were stereotypically about black people fighting crime or doing the crime. A

Persuasive Essay Against Animal Testing
Over 26 million animals are experimented on each year in the United States. Animals are very different from human beings, Medicine that cures mice
or rats, sometimes can cause death or diseases to humans. Although products tested on animals are generally safe, it can be a horrible thing to
everyone. Animal testing is cruel because it harms and/or possibly kills animals, merchandise that is experimented on animals may have damaging
side effects on their health, and it interferes with their growth and development Although animals are so different from humans that the results are
often useless (Animal testing,Newsela) ,The products being tested on animals are good for us and for our health. One study found that it is only
reliable 70 percent of the time(one benefit of using organ on a chip technology,Newsela). This shows that harming animals for the use of people won't
necessarily work all the time. This is important because animals were not made to be used in labs, they were made to be pets or be free in the wild....

Humans are not elite towards animals, which means that we are not justified to experiment on these helpless creatures. Therefore, animals are not

humans (one benefit of using organ on a chip technology,Newsela). This shows that scientists don't know if it's okay to give the medicine to people.
Animals were made to be pets not lab animals, in fact animals can be great as a pet and they can also help you be healthy because they bring joy to a

Muscular fitness assessments give a baseline physical fitness level that can be helpful in finding weakness in certain muscle groups. It can also help to
design an individualized exercise prescription. Muscular strength tests can show how strength gains over time. An example test would be the grip
test. Muscular endurance shows the "ability of a muscle group to execute repeated muscle actions over a period of time sufficient to cause muscle
fatigue (ACSM, 2018)." An example test would be pushups to failure. Flexibility assessments tell you the ability of a joint to move through its

Functional exercise testing is a way to examine the physical limitations of the older populations with mobility limitations. These are often called

Women 's Rights Since The 1920s
Women have been trying to assert their rights since the 1920s. Waging a war with men and society to not be dominant but to be equal. They
wanted to have an equal wage and equal power. Feminisms was and still is a very real cause but the meaning of the word gets confused. It is for
women to be treated like men are. It isn't to get rid of men or become more dominant than men. It is a feared word but in the 70s women tried to
achieve this idea of equality as they still do today. Annie Lennox, a songwriter and a philanthropist, once said, "We all fight over what the label '
feminism ' means but for me it 's about empowerment. It 's not about being more powerful than men – it 's about having equal rights with protection,
support, and justice. It 's about very basic things. It 's not a badge like a fashion item." Fashion can reflect an era but what does that have to do with
feminism? Many women used their fashion sense to prove a point that they were equal to men or that they wanted to break free of societies conforms.
In the 70s women dressed and acted a certain way to show their feminist views in terms of the government and how they felt they should be able to
live their life.
Fashion in the 1970s was a big deal even though it has always been a big deal. Edith head said, "Fashion is a language. Some know it, some learn it,
some never will – like an instinct". People express them selves with music, movies, and clothes. There were many different styles that you could say

Family Values In The Family Of The American Family
Picture a picture frame sitting on the mantel over a fireplace, sitting in the frame is a warm candid family sitting on the couch, the photo reads 12/ 25

present wrapped in shining green paper, the girl's mother sitting next to them smiling in excitement to see what her daughter thinks of her gift. Happy
American family during the holidays. This is initially what every family wants, "The Great American Dream": a nice house, a happy family, a warm
meal to come home to, and a white picket fence. The American family dynamic is changing its look but it is keeping its core values
Next to that photo is another family photo, it shows a mother sitting on the couch holding her 2–year–old son, sitting on the floor opening presents is
two kids maybe five or six years old, next to the mother sits the father holding a gift wrapped in shiny green paper. The photo reads 12/25/1955.
The typical American family has definitely changed since the 1950s however most families experience the holidays together, with gifts, food, smiles,
traditions and family squabbles. Most every child experiences the magic of the holidays with their family, why can't they grow up experiencing that

Mountain Climbers : Determination, Resilience, And Patience
How many times have you been in a situation of life and death? Mountain climbers have these situations periodically while conquering the mountains.
There are countless dangers lurking in the mountains. Mountain climbers risk their lives to fulfill their dreams. Three of the most important traits that
they need to have are determination, resilience, and patience. They need determination when it becomes difficult to proceed.. They need resilience to
ignore the pain and hardship they encounter along the way. They need to be patience, so they don't make silly mistakes and come back successful after
the climb.
Determination is a paramount trait, because if the mountain climbers are not determined, then they can never reach the summit. In a CBS ... Show more

Rudi could have just given up and let the man die over there, but, he did not let that happen, and was successful in saving a life. Therefore, this shows
that determination in mountain climbing can save and help mountain climber's life from a dangerous and deadly situation. Also, this shows that
mountain climbing can not be done without determination. The people who don't venture out and are not strong–willed can't reach the top of the
majestic mountains and see the splendid view out there.
Resilience is another crucial and pivotal trait that a mountain climber must have to become successful. In "What is Mountain Climbing?" by Stewart
Green, a professional mountain climber tells that, "Risk life and limb to thin air, frostbite, bone–chilling cold, hypothermia, avalanche and high wind to
reach the summit"(Green 4). This shows that without resilience you can never or hardly reach the summit. If the mountain climber gets fearful and
turns back just because of some of these symptoms then you will not see success so easily and comfortably. Thus, resilience can be hard to face and
fight but is vital and imperative to be successful from the dangers that are loitering in the mountains.

I Must Say What A Weekend I Had With The Girlв
Ђ™S Night Out.
I must say what a weekend I had With the girl's night out. We all decided to hit the cinema and watch the new romantic comedy starring Justin
Timberlake and Mila Kunis. By the end of the night we were all comparing it to another romantic comedy called "No Strings Attached" starring
Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman that we had seen on our previous girl's night out. We all discussed the pros and cons of having a boy toy as
opposed to being in a loving committed relationship. What a night of debating that was. Imagine no husband, no fiancГ©, no boyfriend for many girls
who have their "friend with benefits". How many times have we talked about this? Especially in nights of melancholy, at least that was... Show more

Someone gets hurt, end the "broken heart", are you ready for that? He can fall in love. Maybe your special friend ends up falling in love ... with
another woman or with you, and vice versa, and that 's what really happens in these two stories. Although these are fictional romantic comedies
these situations happen all the time and temptation is always doing pushups. I know from our previous conversations that you love these types of
movies and I enjoyed them both equally. Because of this I cannot recommend over the other so I recommend you watch both. Some people believe
the titles insinuate a similar plot and don't choose to see both, but after seeing them myself, I can tell you that they are not as similar as one might
think. Well, first they have two different lead actors and actresses as I stated previously. In "Friends with Benefits", Mila is a headhunter who meets
a prospect that she must pick up at the airport. She must convince him to take this job in New York and she has till midnight to do so or the job offer
expires. He accepts the offer and they become friends because they are both emotionally unavailable due to his ambition and fear of getting hurt again
and her lack of commitment from her mother and her own desire to live her life as a romantic comedy itself. In "No Strings Attached", the two meet
several times. The first time they met at summer camp when they were young, and again when they

1970s Fashion Research Paper
1970s Fashion
The 1970s was an eventful decade. Many people fought for equality and peace. 1970s fashion wasn't just clothing, it was showing their voice through
the cultural and political times. The many styles and looks of them showed people's personality and who they are too. The 70s was diverse in style,
makeup, hair, and changed over the years. In the 1970s fashion was multifarious. The main styles were hippie, bohemian, sporty chic, disco, and a
little bit of punk. Hippie style originated in the 60s, but the style really blossomed in the 70s. Hippies loved the colorful, simple, expressive designs
(Brewer). Shoes wise hippies mostly liked gladiator sandals and ankle boots (Karapetyan). Another popular style of the 70s was bohemian. The boho
look was relaxed and carefree. Almost everything that was bohemian was flowy and light weight with rich prints and patterns. Unlike boho, disco was
flamboyant and glitzy. Disco ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Denim was also used for a little bit of everything. Embroidery and other details were added to denim to put some personality into it. Pantsuits were
significant in the 1970s. Before the 70s women didn't really go out in public being seen wearing pants. That's why pantsuits started modern women's

How Technology Has Changed Today
Technology has changed drastically from the 1970s to now. We have exceeded what most people back then could ever imagine. The technology used
in schools, homes, and in public places has evolved into technology that makes the "cutting edge" technology of the 70s look very simple. Things such
as the personal computer, the cell phone, electronic games, TVs, and even watches have changed completely. The ways that they have exceeded
expectations is truly unbelievable.
Home technology has taken a gigantic step since the 1970s as not only has the performance improved, but more families have begun to feel a necessity
to have these appliances. In 1977 the Apple 2 Computer was released to the public. What was then considered an "ordinary computer for ordinary
people" is now seen only in museums and dumps. The personal computer was one of the first personal computer with no additional parts required
to buy, such as cases for the computer or a way to supply it power. The Apple 2 was also had great graphics for its time and was very easy to use for
normal people. We now have computers in our phones, but in the 1970s the Apple 2 was one of the only computer that you could effectively use at
work, school, or at home (computerhistory.org). However, all of that is nothing compared to the computers we currently use. Now most families have a
laptop computer that is portable and has a long battery life without having to remain plugged into a power outlet. The computers have gotten

Film Analysis: Puberty Blues
Puberty Blues
Over many years, Australian film and Television has increased in popularity and have been produced solely for the purpose of leisure and
entertainment, however some films and TV shows, show Australian Historical depth and are an accurate representation of Australia. A prime
example of this is 'Puberty Blues'. Puberty blues was created and aired in 2012 and was a more modern take on the real life during the mid to late
1970's. The two main characters, 13 year olds Debbie and Sue are inseparable best friends who set off through the coming of age process. Puberty
Blues addresses the sexism of surf culture and youth way of life of teenagers in Australia during that time. Fashion, sexism, surf culture and the
adolescence way of life are all elements that contribute to making puberty blues historically accurate.
The first historical accuracy used in the TV show was that fashion was essential to all teens. Growing up in the early 70's as a teenager in Australia
was that fashion was a must have. Clothing such as crop tops, button ups and bootleg jeans were a crucial part of growing up. From being a cool kid,

Sexism is a major problem that has occurred for many years. Sexism is used during this series when it highlights a complete disrespect to woman
during the late 70's period. Although in today's society, gone are the days where girls are expected to do everything for men. Chauvinism occurred
in real life when women must have obeyed the instructions on men. They were expected to cook their meals, clean their homes and do general

American Culture In The 1970's
To start off the 1970s decade, American culture and music was diverse. There were many different views on the government and confusion was
widespread throughout the country. Issues that were present in the 60s persisted throughout the early 1970s. Some of those issues included dealing
with psychedelia views and Hippies. Another issue that continued through the 70s was the Vietnam War. This war led to many disagreements among
American citizens. President Richard Nixon was also involved in several political scandals and lost his trust of the American people. Unfortunately, the
70s continued to have problems with the government and economy; there was unavailable gasoline, inflation became more common, and the safety of
nuclear energy became questionable. Though there were several problems to start off the 70s, some Americans decided to take action and start
movements about their inequalities. For example, feminism (women's liberation movement) and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Isometric View Of The Combustion Bowl Sector
RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS:
At 800 bar injection pressure
The isometric view of the combustion bowl sector is shown in figures 1 & 2. The two planes shown in the sector pass through the first site of
auto–ignition. The vertical plane parallel to z–axis does not necessarily pass through the spray axis but could be located to either side of it depending
upon the location of the first site of auto–ignition. The temperature distribution is similar on both the planes but the different angle in which both are
being viewed is the reason for the different hues of same color. The white dot at the intersection of the two planes represents the first site of
auto–ignition at which the temperature and equivalence ratio values also have been stated.
The temperature at SOI indicated the temperature of entire combustion chamber except at extremities where the variation of В± 20 K is witnessed. As
the intake temperature increases, the temperature on the first site of auto–ignition at SOI can be seen increasing but since the fuel would not have
arrived at this site yet, the equivalence ratio is zero. As the spray droplets move further away from the nozzle, the heat given out by the exothermic
chemical reactions leads to the rise in the temperature at the first site of auto–ignition thereby increasing its temperature to a value at which the fuel
auto–ignites on its arrival.
The sudden rise in combustion chamber pressure coincides with the location of SOC. The indicator of SOC was chosen to be

Perforated Peptic Ulcer Paper
In our study we tried the safety of conservative treatment also known as the Taylor method of perforated peptic ulcer. Our results show that in the era
of PPI this approach can be applied in patients with acceptable morbidity and no mortality. Study of the natural history of peptic ulcer perforation has
shown that, after perforation occurs, it is promptly sealed by adjacent organs. A fibrin clot appears quickly on and around the perforation. This is the
initiation of definitive closure of perforation with the help of adhesions between perforated and adjacent organs [12–15]. According to Donovan, this
process of self–healing is sufficient in 50% of patients [16]. It is a not uncommon experience for surgeons operating on perforated peptic ulcer to find
that they first have to mobilize the perforation from adjacent organs or reperforate the already sealed perforation before being able to repair it.... Show

However, some patients develop peritonitis due to continuous fluid extravasation, higher bacterial load of the upper gastrointestinal tract and impaired
spontaneous sealing of the perforation. These observations were the basis for the development of conservative treatment. The morbidity and mortality
associated with surgical repair of perforated peptic ulcer are currently in the range of 3–9% whereas the result of very few series available for
conservative treatment shows mortality rates as 5.2%. In Taylor's initial series in 1957 for conservative treatment for perforated peptic ulcer, mortality
rates of 0% and more recent publications have reported morbidity rate upto 8% [17–21]. In our study, we had no mortality during hospital stay and

The Sitcom That 70s Show
For this paper, I have chosen to analyze the sitcom That 70s Show. This show follows the lives of a group of teenage friends: Jackie, Donna, Hyde,
Kelso, Eric, and Fez. The show addresses many social issues of the 1970s, including: Sexism, sexual attitudes, drug use, and the recession. It also
highlights many of the inventions and developments of the entertainment industry, such as the remote control and Star Wars.I chose certain episodes
from Season 1 based on their titles and descriptions; ones I thought may deal with sexism more in–depth than other episodes. Season 1, Episode 4 –
Battle of the Sexists, starts off with the boys reading a PlayBoy magazine and making judgements of the women based on their bodies. In particular,
they focus on the breasts, and claim that they can tell how annoying a woman is based on how large they are. Although this is a very short scene, it
clearly depicts the objectification of women, and gives the impression that women are to be admired for their bodies, not their personalities. In this
episode, we learn that the plant that Eric's father, Red, works at has cut his hours. This means he is no longer the primary breadwinner of the family,
and as to not feel inadequate to his wife, Kitty, he starts fixing things around the house. The bulk of this episode centres around Donna beating Eric at
various games. When they are playing basketball, Donna scores, and Eric acts as though it's unheard of for women to score. She ends up beating him,

Similarities Between 70 And 70
The 70's v. 2017 Life in the 70's was very different than it is today. When you compare the 1970s to 2017 you can see the huge differences, and
maybe some similarities. A lot has changed since the 70's, including the style, lifestyle, pop culture, and more. Since the 70's a lot has changed, we
have changed in some ways and are similar in more ways than one. Here are the differences and similarities between the 70's and today, 2017. In the
70's the first president of the decade was Richard Nixon, he was the 37th president and was in office 1969–1974. Eventually Gerald Ford held office
after Nixon resigned to avoid the eventual outcome of Watergate, which would have led to impeachment. Jimmy Carter then served as president in
years 1977–1981, with Walter Mondale as vice president. Today in 2017 we have Donald Trump and Mike Pence, and people are begging for
Trump to be impeached, similar to Nixon. Though people do see impeachment in Trump's future, but some do not. Another difference since the
70's is the inflation of the dollar. A dollar in 1970 is worth $6.30 today, which is a 530.0% increase. A dollar in 1979 is worth $3.37, which is a
237% increase. When comparing the 70's to today it is always best to compare the cost of living. In 1970 minimum wage was $1.60, today in New
Mexico minimum wage is now $9.25. A year of tuition at a public college was about $1,200 in the 70's, according to the college board, the average
student payed about $9,650 for tuition. In January of

Bell Bottoms In The 70's
Most people may think Bell bottoms started in the 70's with Sonny & Cher, and The Brady Bunch, but even before then the US Navy had adopted
this style of pant as seen in the picture to the right from 1894. I would have never guessed that this trend of bell bottoms that is so relevant today,
started with men's pants in the early 19th century. Chanel revolutionized the bell bottom trouser to Europe in the 1920's, which also could be seen as
'yachting pants' & beach pajamas both of which we see often today. American hippie culture soon followed in the early 70's with Sony & Cher. The

Decode The Word Dude Essay
The main point of this essay is to deconstruct and decode the word "dude," as well as, the context at which the word is used. This four letter word,
created a "catchall for lazy, inarticulate, and inexpressive (and mostly male) surfers, skaters, slackers, druggies, or teenagers." This word is so
ambiguous that we shouldn't confuse "flexibility with meaninglessness."
The essay begins with background information, stating that the origin dates back to the 1800's when a dude was a scarecrow. He proceed to go
through the history of "dude" and eventually points out where the word entered teenager vocabulary. Thanks to "Fast Times as Ridgemont High," the
word "dude" became the cool exclamation and also replaced the word buddy and or friends when it came to speaking to another human, especially a
man to another man.

Teenager typically spend the majority of their time watching television, Netflix, or some other form of media streaming, along with hanging out with
friends. In experience, when one of the friends picks up a bad habit, such as using the word "dude," it spreads through the group like wildfire because
we spend so much time together. This communal identity, then spreads through other friend groups one has contact with. Creating a vicious, never
ending cycle of the word "dude."
With the word peeking in the late 70's and early 80's, it has spread throughout the generations, with its meaning barely changing as it travels. It
seems as if "dude" is never not going to become an irrelevant word thanks to to meaninglessness not flexibility to fit every context. "And "dude"
shows no sign of disappearing. 'More and more our culture is becoming youth centered.'" Therefore, as long as there are youths in this world, "dude"
will stay relevant till another vulgar word takes its place. Will the word ever die down? I guess you will have to wait and

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night? By Dylan Thomas
Do not go gentle into that good night.
The will to survive often stems from those around you, pushing you to be better than you could be, giving everything you have to be better for said
people. In times of dire need we rely on the strength others can give, to hopefully help through. The perspective of those begging for you to hold on is
shown throughout the poem ?Do not go gentle into that good night? by Dylan Thomas as the theme of this poem is mortality and the will to fight
against it. The author at his father?s bedside begging for him to hold onto his life and rage against the dying of the light. This can be seen through many
techniques the author uses during his poem, being symbols, imagery and literary devices.

One of the most prevalent literary devices used in this poem would be an oxymoron. Almost every stanza has some contradictory statement where he
uses light within darkness. This being one of the main examples and using this battle between light and darkness to convey the battle between life and
death. The most common one throughout the poem is ?Do not go gentle into that good night? (pg.70). This is an oxymoron because of the context of
night within this poem being used as an equivalent to death. This device is used to show irony by saying and showing that there is no good death, why
wouldn?t his father fight against it. Another literary device used in this poem is a metaphor. The other uses this to give a comparison between ones
words and lightning. The other states this is the 3rd stanza ?their words had forked no lightning? (pg.70). The author uses this to show the power we
have as humans, comparing ones words to the strength and power of a bolt of lightning. Through this almost implying that one could beat death
through the strength we have

face in ways that haven't been seen in years, this modern throwback essence is giving a new opportunity for the current generation to mix modern
closet staples of today with a more relaxed, yet still lively aesthetic that mimics a time before their existence. With that being said, colored leathers,

shapes will come into view as skinnier lines make their way out of the market. The poncho type style will mainly be seen in jackets as well as
dresses and trousers (Doneger 2015). In moving away from the skinnier trends and into the baggier boxier, more relaxed shapes and silhouettes
will allow the 70s vibe to take full effect. This will also support the flower child like personality associated with the time period while still allowing
a blend with modern culture. For Spring Summer 2017, WGSN calls for the mixed media scraps and architectural influences that will play off of S

Sociological Analysis Of The Regular Show By Jg Quintel
The Regular Show is an American surreal/paranormal comedic cartoon created by JG Quintel. It follows the lives of seven employees who work at a
local Public Park simply known as "Park" (titled as a proper noun) in an unnamed part of the United States of America. Together, they maintain and
manage the park as a public local attraction. In doing so, seemingly normal days somehow always end up with a Twilight Zone–esque paranormal
twist, with bits of surreal and situational humor overlaying it to keep it kid–friendly. The show itself is very simple in its premise, though like any
television series, it has undertones of basic sociological concepts and dynamics. The seven main characters all contrast very differently in their
personalities, while all still sharing similar morals and beliefs, as well as having similar interests and goals. As such, these characters create a perfect

Donna falls under the tomboy category and it is prominent throughout the series. Donna is always doing things with the guys and is never really
interested in doing things with the other female lead Jackie. I think it's a positive thing that Donna was always hanging around with the guys because
it gave women that age the idea that it was an okay thing to do. One of Laura Prepon's quote in reference to the show is "Even in real life, I'd rather
hang out with guys." (IMDb, 2017). This proves that it's not an abnormal thing to want to hang out with the guys and that more women should be okay
with doing it. Women don't always have to be interested in the things women are 'supposed' to be interested

The Collapse Of Popular Music During The Vietnam War
1972 started off with a tragic blast. Two bombs exploded, within minutes of each other, on January 26 which damaged the NY HQ of Columbia
artist management and the nearby offices of Sol Hurok. Not to mention the amazing music from pop to the birth of Rock. No matter the topic of
discussion the 70's were definitely the time for it, especially the music. The Vietnam War influenced very popular songs after it ended. The Jackson
5 wrote "Hallelujah" and "US and Them" by Pink Floyd. If it were not for the Vietnam War these songs would not have been created. Many people
were happy that the war was over and some people even held up signs just to show how appreciative they were because it was over. The first earth day

That 70s Show Gender Roles
The sitcom That'70s Show revolves around a group of teenage friends living in the fictional town of Point Place, Wisconsin through the years 1976 to
1979. This sitcom expresses many different themes throughout the seasons and episodes. When watching this show you are able to notice how the
themes change throughout each season. This show addresses social issues of the 1970's such as sexism, sexual attitudes, generational conflict, the
economic hardships, recession, and teenage drug use. The shows' main characters include six high school teenagers, Eric Forman, Jackie Burkhart,
Michael Kelso, Steven Hyde, Donna Piniclotti, and Fez. In "Battle of the Sexes" season one, episode four you are able to notice the different gender
roles. The episode starts out with Eric and his girlfriend Donna playing a game of one–on–one basketball. Eric fails to reach his own expectations
when he loses the game to Donna. Eric starts to feel like he is losing his masculinity. Later, Donna and Eric decided to play a game of air hockey
where Donna beat him again. The sitcom then shows Eric in a dress meaning that he is not a man because he lost a game to a girl. Donna goes to her
friend Jackie for advice who says that Donna needs to let Eric win... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can tell because of the way that they made Fez speak with an accent in which he was commonly mispronouncing words since he was a
foreigner. Fez is a Latino character in the sitcom who is a foreign exchange student from out of the country. Fez has an accent and a lisp. He is the
only colored character in the sitcom. The sitcom never said where Fez was exactly from. There is an episode where Kelso is checking for lice in
Fez's hair which is portraying that Latinos have poor hygiene. The show also illustrates that it can be difficult for foreigners to find work in the
United States. Fez is always getting made fun of by his friends. Just like in real life Fez had to go out and receive his green

95 Agression Survey

  • 1. 95 Agression Survey The purpose of this assignment is to analyze the 95% confidence interval and conduct a hypothesis test to determine if the average amount of vehicles that pass through the intersection at five minute intervals is greater than 70. We would like to see if it is worth it to set up advertising at this intersection or not. The advertising firm that we are conducting these tests for says that if the average flow either in the afternoon or the morning is greater than 70 vehicles, then it is justified to advertise there. In our opinion, both these tests are valid in determining the average traffic flow; however, we believe that the confidence interval will give the firm a better understanding of the data. The confidence intervals that we found both with the outliers and without are similar. The confidence interval for AM vehicles with outliers is [66.41, 78.31], the confidence interval for AM vehicles without outliers is [66.26, 76.31]. The confidence interval for PM vehicles with outliers is [73.25, 83.89], the confidence interval for PM vehicles without outliers is [73.83, 82.95]. Even though there might be a slight difference with and without the outliers, both confidence intervals for AM vehicles do not reach 70 for the lower bound, but exceed at the higher bound. For the PM vehicles, both confidence intervals exceed 70 for both upper and lower bounds. This satisfies... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the AM Vehicles, we also cannot reject the null hypothesis at any alpha level, which may lead the firm to believe the actual amount of traffic passing through is much lower than 70. However, in our confidence interval, it shows that the lower bounds are actually just around 66, which gives them greater peace of mind about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Theme Of Selfishness In All My Sons People Are Selfish According to The Washington Post, 70% of the American population is classified as being selfish. ("Americans are patriotic, honest, lazy, and selfish, according to Americans: The Washington Post") Selfishness is displayed in the play All My Sons, as there is much conflict centered around one family relating to the ideas of marriage, death, and lying. In this play, the author, Arthur Miller, reveals that most people really do not care about others, by showing that they are indeed selfish, so they can look better than other people. This is portrayed by the character Joe Keller. Joe's selfishness is shown through how he blames others, and tries to cover up his mistakes, rather than owning up to them. This interpretation is important because it makes the reader think of how they act, and if they would be that 70% of the American population that is considered selfish. First, Miller illustrates how Joe acts selfish by depicting how he blames others. In the contents of the play, Joe tends to blame Steve, his previous business partner, for the majority of his problems. Throughout the play Steve is in jail because Joe blamed him for manufacturing, and distributing all of the defective plane parts that eventually lead to the death of twenty–one innocent pilots. Miller shows that Joe was indeed responsible for the manufacturing of the defective plane parts and let Steve face the repercussions of those actions. When Joe refers to himself by stating, ". . . ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. What Was The Culture Like In The 1970's Have you ever wanted to know what the 1970's were like? Do you wish you can go back in time and explore the 1970's? Maybe your parents were born in the 70's and you want to see what life was like for them? Well in this essay I'll show you what the culture was like in the 1970's. There was a big cultural change from the 1960's to the 1970's I will explain how food, cars, Tv, and technology all play a big part in the cultural change. You may not know this, but food really shapes one's culture. The 70's was a great time for food and candy. Combos, Reese's Pieces, the Egg McMuffin, both Cocoa and Fruity Pebbles, granola bars, Twix, and instant ramen were all loved in the 70's and even now. Some of the food was invented in the 60's but didn't become popular until the 70's... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cars in the 70's underwent a big change. In 1968 all cars and trucks required seat belts so new cars in the 70's were coming out with seat belts. Also in the 70's there was a big oil crisis. Cars in the 70's had very boxy design so the solution was to make cars aerodynamic. Not only did the make the car get better mpg but they also made the cars faster. Some of the iconic cars of the 70's was the AMC Gremlin– which was like the prius of the 70's–, 1977 FireBird, Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Pinto – another prius like car –, Lamborghini Countach, Second generation Ford Mustang, and Lamborghini ... • 4. 70's Decade The 70's decade was a milestone in US (United States) history for many reasons. It was an important stride in women's rights, sports, education, politics, global issues, and helping nature. From catchy phrases, to presidential scandals, the 70's decade majorly contributed to our US history. One major event in the 70's was sports for many reasons. Cassius Clay had defended his title 8 times, but in 1967 outside the ring, he lost a major battle. He was convicted of refusing to submit induction into the armed services (Our Century 55). The World Boxing Association the stripped him of his title and barred him from the ring. Back in 1964, Clay had joined the Black Muslims, and eventually took the Muslim name, Muhammad Ali, which is what we know... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... New laws were made to protect drinking water and established smokestack standards. The first "Earth Day", happened on April 22, 1970, and it was meant to be a day where students could learn about the Earth. More than 12,00 high schools and colleges suspended class for a day to learn about Earth, and thousands of Elementary schools picked up trash and litter (Stewart 51). Hundreds of thousands gathered in New York, and Washington DC to show support for the new concern and protest the abuse of land, air, water, and wildlife (Stewart 51). Anthea Rowan describes, "By three months babies could eat bacon and eggs, and by six months mothers were urged to give them a daily coffee" (Rowan). Usually babies do not start eating solid food for much later. Back then however, solid food was a common item to be had by babies as many doctors supported this fad with little to no proof for its positive effects. This is obviously an odd occurrence but was followed on a wide scale. Many people believed that whatever your doctor said had to be true. Therefore, without any research these fads could appear and be strictly followed. Brie Dyas explains "In 1972, Mother & Baby magazine suggested only washing your baby twice a week" (Dyas). • 23. American Culture In The 1970's To start off the 1970s decade, American culture and music was diverse. There were many different views on the government and confusion was widespread throughout the country. Issues that were present in the 60s persisted throughout the early 1970s. Some of those issues included dealing with psychedelia views and Hippies. Another issue that continued through the 70s was the Vietnam War. This war led to many disagreements among American citizens. President Richard Nixon was also involved in several political scandals and lost his trust of the American people. Unfortunately, the 70s continued to have problems with the government and economy; there was unavailable gasoline, inflation became more common, and the safety of nuclear energy became questionable. Though there were several problems to start off the 70s, some Americans decided to take action and start movements about their inequalities. For example, feminism (women's liberation movement) and... The two planes shown in the sector pass through the first site of auto–ignition. The vertical plane parallel to z–axis does not necessarily pass through the spray axis but could be located to either side of it depending upon the location of the first site of auto–ignition. The temperature distribution is similar on both the planes but the different angle in which both are being viewed is the reason for the different hues of same color. The white dot at the intersection of the two planes represents the first site of auto–ignition at which the temperature and equivalence ratio values also have been stated. The temperature at SOI indicated the temperature of entire combustion chamber except at extremities where the variation of В± 20 K is witnessed. As the intake temperature increases, the temperature on the first site of auto–ignition at SOI can be seen increasing but since the fuel would not have arrived at this site yet, the equivalence ratio is zero. As the spray droplets move further away from the nozzle, the heat given out by the exothermic chemical reactions leads to the rise in the temperature at the first site of auto–ignition thereby increasing its temperature to a value at which the fuel auto–ignites on its arrival. The sudden rise in combustion chamber pressure coincides with the location of SOC. The indicator of SOC was chosen to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 26. Perforated Peptic Ulcer Paper In our study we tried the safety of conservative treatment also known as the Taylor method of perforated peptic ulcer. Our results show that in the era of PPI this approach can be applied in patients with acceptable morbidity and no mortality. Study of the natural history of peptic ulcer perforation has shown that, after perforation occurs, it is promptly sealed by adjacent organs. A fibrin clot appears quickly on and around the perforation. This is the initiation of definitive closure of perforation with the help of adhesions between perforated and adjacent organs [12–15]. According to Donovan, this process of self–healing is sufficient in 50% of patients [16]. It is a not uncommon experience for surgeons operating on perforated peptic ulcer to find that they first have to mobilize the perforation from adjacent organs or reperforate the already sealed perforation before being able to repair it.... • 27. The Sitcom That 70s Show For this paper, I have chosen to analyze the sitcom That 70s Show. This show follows the lives of a group of teenage friends: Jackie, Donna, Hyde, Kelso, Eric, and Fez. The show addresses many social issues of the 1970s, including: Sexism, sexual attitudes, drug use, and the recession. It also highlights many of the inventions and developments of the entertainment industry, such as the remote control and Star Wars.I chose certain episodes from Season 1 based on their titles and descriptions; ones I thought may deal with sexism more in–depth than other episodes. Season 1, Episode 4 – Battle of the Sexists, starts off with the boys reading a PlayBoy magazine and making judgements of the women based on their bodies. In particular, they focus on the breasts, and claim that they can tell how annoying a woman is based on how large they are. Although this is a very short scene, it clearly depicts the objectification of women, and gives the impression that women are to be admired for their bodies, not their personalities. In this episode, we learn that the plant that Eric's father, Red, works at has cut his hours. This means he is no longer the primary breadwinner of the family, and as to not feel inadequate to his wife, Kitty, he starts fixing things around the house. The bulk of this episode centres around Donna beating Eric at various games. When they are playing basketball, Donna scores, and Eric acts as though it's unheard of for women to score. • 28. Similarities Between 70 And 70 The 70's v. 2017 Life in the 70's was very different than it is today. When you compare the 1970s to 2017 you can see the huge differences, and maybe some similarities. A lot has changed since the 70's, including the style, lifestyle, pop culture, and more. Since the 70's a lot has changed, we have changed in some ways and are similar in more ways than one. Here are the differences and similarities between the 70's and today, 2017. In the 70's the first president of the decade was Richard Nixon, he was the 37th president and was in office 1969–1974. Eventually Gerald Ford held office after Nixon resigned to avoid the eventual outcome of Watergate, which would have led to impeachment. Jimmy Carter then served as president in years 1977–1981, with Walter Mondale as vice president. Today in 2017 we have Donald Trump and Mike Pence, and people are begging for Trump to be impeached, similar to Nixon. Though people do see impeachment in Trump's future, but some do not. Another difference since the 70's is the inflation of the dollar. A dollar in 1970 is worth $6.30 today, which is a 530.0% increase. A dollar in 1979 is worth $3.37, which is a 237% increase. When comparing the 70's to today it is always best to compare the cost of living. In 1970 minimum wage was $1.60, today in New Mexico minimum wage is now $9.25. A year of tuition at a public college was about $1,200 in the 70's, according to the college board, the average student payed about $9,650 for tuition. In January of ... Bell Bottoms In The 70's Most people may think Bell bottoms started in the 70's with Sonny & Cher, and The Brady Bunch, but even before then the US Navy had adopted this style of pant as seen in the picture to the right from 1894. I would have never guessed that this trend of bell bottoms that is so relevant today, started with men's pants in the early 19th century. Chanel revolutionized the bell bottom trouser to Europe in the 1920's, which also could be seen as 'yachting pants' & beach pajamas both of which we see often today. American hippie culture soon followed in the early 70's with Sony & Cher. The hippie phase came and went then a more simple 'boot cut' trouser came back into play in the 90's. This four letter word, created a "catchall for lazy, inarticulate, and inexpressive (and mostly male) surfers, skaters, slackers, druggies, or teenagers." This word is so ambiguous that we shouldn't confuse "flexibility with meaninglessness." The essay begins with background information, stating that the origin dates back to the 1800's when a dude was a scarecrow. He proceed to go through the history of "dude" and eventually points out where the word entered teenager vocabulary. The will to survive often stems from those around you, pushing you to be better than you could be, giving everything you have to be better for said people. In times of dire need we rely on the strength others can give, to hopefully help through. The perspective of those begging for you to hold on is shown throughout the poem ?Do not go gentle into that good night? by Dylan Thomas as the theme of this poem is mortality and the will to fight against it. The most common one throughout the poem is ?Do not go gentle into that good night? (pg.70). This is an oxymoron because of the context of night within this poem being used as an equivalent to death. This device is used to show irony by saying and showing that there is no good death, why wouldn?t his father fight against it. Another literary device used in this poem is a metaphor. The other uses this to give a comparison between ones words and lightning. The other states this is the 3rd stanza ?their words had forked no lightning? (pg.70). Donna Pinciotti, played by Laura Prepon, from That 70's Show is a character that can be a positive influence on teens and young adults. Donna is a positive influence because she shows independent traits, proves that it's okay to be one of the boys, and strong willed. Being an independent female lead is something that a lot of women can look up to in a positive way. Having independence and not relying on someone else to take care of you is empowering to most women. Donna shows her independence in many ways throughout the eight season series.
