This was my first time ever doing stained glass. My goal for this class was to learn
the process of stained glass, grow in patience, and grow in appreciation for the art.
With all of the different aspects, I feel like this goal was met. The first part of the
process was cutting the glass. For this, the tools needed was a glass/ball cutter,
running pliers, grozing pliers, and (of course) your glass. Using the ball cutter,
you make a score on the glass. This should only ever be done once. After that is
made, take the pliers to break the glass. The running pliers are used for straight
lines What you do is align the cut with the line on the pliers and pinch, and the
glass should break. The grozing pliers are used for non straight cuts. For this, you
take the pliers in one hand and your hand as the other and go on either side of the
score, then break or snap it upwards. Throughout this process I had a good amount
of struggles. I first struggled with figuring out how to position my hand, the amount
of pressure that I should put on the glass, and the angle to put my hand. Another
struggle that I encountered was breaking off the glass that had a curved score.

Step are as follows; first, label two separate sets of spot plates. One for bacterial
amylase and another for fungal amylase on each plate write the differentiating

wants to do with her life. Esther saw her life as if it was a fig tree. She saw one fig
as a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet
and another fig was a brilliant professor (Plath Sylvia 77). Esther seems paralyzed
on what fig she wants to choose. It appears as if she wants all of them, but she
realizes that if she only chooses one she can t have the rest. Esther appears
bewildered because she doesn t know what life choice to make. The hardships that
Esther is enduring appears to be too much for her to handle. Secondly, Sylvia Plath
strongly utilizes a beating heart as a metaphor to disclose how Esther just can t
find the will to succumb to her depression. When decides to go to the beach on a
double date, the thought of drowning herself profoundly crossed her mind. As she
was swimming in the ocean she thought: that drowning must be the kindest way to
die...but as I paddled on, my heartbeat boomed like a dull motor in my ears, I am, I
