2. The female gender is represented throughout the whole of
my magazine. All of the models are female, this attracts both
male and female audiences. Females are represented through
stereotypes in my magazine such as wearing jewellery,
dressed very feminine and wearing makeup. The model on
the front of the page is posed with her hand raised above her
head pushing her hair behind her ear, this is a posed often
associated with female models. However on the front cover
the model is pulling a serious face, this makes her look more
dominant on the front cover. The high key lighting makes the
female models come across as friendly.
3. Younger age groups such as teens and young adults (16-30 years) are represented though my
magazine. In the interview with Brooklynn taboo language is shown when she gives an answer.
This represents working class females as she is from Manchester herself and has only recently
become an indie star. The model credit is also a pull quote which says “what the hell am I doing
here?” this again links to representation of modern day teens using strong language.
4. Representation of working class people is presented through out my magazine. This
representation is shown as all of my models are working class and the double page spread
features an artist who comes from a working class background in Manchester. The
representation fits stereotypes of working class as the clothes they are wearing are linked to
working class people. The images taken from the Beyoncé concert are taken to look as if they
are a point of view shot looking up to the music artist. This shows representation of higher class
celebrities.
