TO WHOM APPLICABLE:
The provisions of the capital gains or losses are applicable on the following three kinds of legal
personalities: Individuals. Companies. Trusts.
The CGT is applicable only on the residents of Australia. It may be applicable on the foreign
nationals only if they hold an Australian property.
PROPERTIES THAT CAN BE TAXED:
The provisions of the CGT are available only on the properties which are acquired by any individual
company or trust after 20th September, 1987. The CGT provisions were introduced on the above
mentioned date and it was applied prospectively. Thus, the properties acquired before 20th
September 1987 are not meant to be taxable under CGT.

to send off your application to a company yourself.
Training/Qualifications:
To become a stage manager, you don't need any specific degree, but one in performing arts, music,
or theatre studies improves your chance of employment. Even better is a degree which is recognized
by the National Council for Drama Training, and some drama school offer specific courses, e.g. a
qualification in "Technical Theatre". A post–graduate qualification will also help further
employment chances. You can also become a stage manager without a degree, by starting as a
member of the stage crew, then working your way up the ranks, through ASM and DSM, finally to
SM. However, there is a lot of competition, and therefore this may be hard.
Practical work experience in a theatre is also very handy, and the more aspects of drama you can get

Let The Right One In Play Analysis
On September 29th of 2016, I went to go see the production of Let the Right One In presented by
The University of Oklahoma, University Theatre, and Helmerich School of Drama. The play is a
stage adaptation by Jack Thorne based on the Swedish novel and film by John Ajvide Linqvist with
the same title. It was performed in the Weitzenhoffer Theatre and was directed by Tom Huston Orr.
Furthermore, it was the American premiere for Let the Right One In and it was an honor that the
Helmerich School of Drama got that privilege. The intense story was about a young boy finding an
unlikely friendship with a vampire that left me hanging at the edge of my seat.
The tone of the show was set the moment I entered the theatre, cold and lonely. Excitement ran
through my body with all the possibilities of this play could bring, the actual script does not have
much direction for set and blocking. Consequently, the anticipation to see what they had done was
making me dance impatiently in my seat. The moment the show started, my eyes did not leave the
stage. The Helmerich School of Drama's production of Let the Right One In was visually stunning
and emotionally enthralling all throughout the show caused by the direction and the actors.

There are few things in which I find greater satisfaction than closing a show. To some, the end of a

The playwright had originally submitted one version which I had edited down in collaboration with
the literary manager Emma and Creative project manager Florence. Later in the process the
playwright contacted us again with a new version of the script. Originally a male monologue, the
playwright had included a female counterpart. Again, the script submitted was over the time limit by
a mile. Editing the second submission however was not an easy task as I believe the playwright had
created a bond between the two characters. Although their stories did not interact with each other
physically, their dynamic, responses and pace could not be seen as two separate things.

killer heels whilst Ralph (Bhatti) took each step casually but eloquently.

immediately alienated the audience from feeling any kind of emotional connection to the characters;
we were introduced at the very beginning and were constantly reminded of who was who through
heightened gestures, vocal changes and direct address. However, Lucky Eric's daunting monologues,
delivered perfectly by Ian Reddington, gave us some sort of emotional connection with the play
itself. Godber uses Brecht's style for more of a comic effect as opposed to snatching away emotional
connection. The four actors changed from role–to–role excellently with clear characterisation; Bhatti
did outstandingly well in changing from the high–pitched and very girly, Sexy Susie to the low–
pitched, macho–aggressive bouncer, Ralph.

A few weeks ago, I had a chance to watch Les Miserables at Imperial Theater. Les Miserables is
play based on Victor Hugo's award winning novel. I must admit that the play made me realize the
great stories that will continue be told in mass media for years to come. Much to my astonishment,
the characters in the play essentially delivered a great show, ranging from their acting to their
singing.
I believe that Les Miserables is one of the most intricate stories with a plot featuring heroic life of a

The members of the orchestra were dressed in button down and a tie, and dress coats, while ladies
wore uniform dresses based on the culture that existed during the writing of the novel by Hugo.
The play attracted an audience of almost a thousand, majority of which were senior adults who
wanted to see how the young generation could bring out the concepts of Hugo's novel into action. A
good number of the poorer audience members were allowed to pay a few bucks to stand in front of
the stage while the affluent majority sat on the covered galleries, paying twice as much as the poor
audience for their seats. I could realize that the attendance was beyond the expectations of the play's
organizer because most people complained about missing a ticket to watch it.
The play was so well done, and the opening section was somewhat grand considering the fact that
actors and actresses played their part and portrayed the characters in a way I could really relate to. I
have always like live performances, and one thing the producer of Les Miserables introduced was
the orchestra switch their voices between prerecorded and live scenes, this gave the play a sense of
immediacy and power.

Goldsmith lays out the "true" purpose of dramatic comedy:
"Comedy is defined by Aristotle to be a picture of the frailties of the lower part of mankind, to
distinguish it from tragedy, which is an exhibition of the misfortunes of the great. ... If we apply to
authorities, all the great masters in the dramatic art have but one opinion. Their rule is, that as
tragedy displays the calamities of the great, so comedy should excite our laughter by ridiculously
exhibiting the follies of the lower part of mankind."
