Brand Personality And Infosys
Brand Personality
Brand personality is the way a brand speaks and behaves. It means assigning human personality
traits/characteristics to a brand so as to achieve differentiation. These characteristics signify brand
behaviour through both individuals representing the brand (i.e. it s employees) as well as through
advertising, packaging, etc. When brand image or brand identity is expressed in terms of human traits,
it is called brand personality. For instance Allen Solley brand speaks the personality and makes the
individual who wears it stand apart from the crowd. Infosys represents uniqueness, value, and
intellectualism.
Brand personality is nothing but personification of brand. A brand is expressed either as a personality
who embodies these personality traits (For instance Shahrukh Khan and Airtel, John Abraham and
Castrol) or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result, retail branding as a key differential competitive component of retail marketing strategy,
has received significant attention in the retail literature (Kent, 2003;Ailawadi and Keller, 2004; Burt
and Davies, 2010). Traditionally, branding within the field of retailing has been closely associated
with private label brand produced by retailers (Burt and Davies, 2010), which enabled operating
advantage for these firms in the form of superior profit margins, economies of scale, market
segmentation and differentiation. Here, the products and services offered to define the retail brand, act
as the core differentiator between the firm and competitors. As the role of private label brand
development has become more strategically important, there has been increasing focus on mental
models of the retail brand

The Effect Of Acid Concentration On Plant Plants And...
Introduction
Gibberellic Acid is a naturally occurring plant growth hormone that belongs to the gibberellin group
(Gupta and Chakrabarty, 2013). Gibberellins are responsible for stem growth in plants and regulate the
synthesis of proteins. Gibberellic acid is a by product of the Gibberella Fujikuroi fungi which has the
effect of causing developing rice plants stems to grow in such an expeditious manner that the plant
collapses (John M. Riley, 1987).
The experiment s variables include the independent variable, which is the concentration of gibberellic
acid that is used to soak the seeds, and the time period of germination, as well as the dependant
variable, which is the number of seeds that germinate. The control used to compare seed germination
and in this situation is the sample with a gibberellic acid concentration of 0 ppm. Constants in the
experiment include factors affecting seed germination such as constant temperatures where each
sample receives the same temperature and in the case of variation the same amount of variation,
quantity of moisture where the same amount of gibberellic acid is added to each bag corresponding to
the concentration, the samples should also receive the same conditions of light, have the same sowing
density, and number of seeds per square centimetre.
The aim of this practical is to investigate the effects of gibberellic acid on the germination rates of two
plant species. It was hypothesised from the above information that higher

The Use Of Rubia In Aramaic
It s a tradition on Rosh Hashanah, to eat a variety of random foods as symbols for the upcoming
Jewish New Year.
Each food has a different meaning, weakly attributed to its name in Aramaic or Hebrew. At any given
time there is at least one food that you will find completely revolting (fish head anyone?) and a couple
others that you kind of like anyway.
But what you didn t know is that each food you like actually tells you everything you need to know
about your own personality and what type of neurosis awaits you in the coming year.
What s your hang up? Take the poll to find out!
Beans are called Rubia in Aramaic, which sounds like the word for multiplicity, i.e. you want your
merits to multiply .
Interpretation

I bet a lot of you would have picked date from this list. Well, guess what the word for date in Hebrew
is Tamar, as in may my enemies be finished (off) .
Interpretation
You and leek lover should get married. Have some nice Jewish babies together. At least you re not as
forceful about it he needs his enemies diced, you just want them ended. So on the spectrum of 1 to 10,
he s an 11 and you re an 8.
Good job. Keep being the voice of balance and reason in the world.
A timeless classic in the shtetls of Poland, the word for beet is Selek and it means you want your
enemies to be banished
Interpretation
Your sense of victimhood is so strong you are incapable of banishing your inner and outer demons
completely. At least Leek and Date have the strength of character to seek total annihilation of their
imaginary enemies. You prefer to banish them deeper in your subconscious where they can continue to
wreak havoc on your relationships and health. Your recurring migraines? Yup.

Argumentative Essay On Student Loans
There are so many students who are loaning their financial future to student loans. These students
think that it is normal to have student loans to pay for college, but they fail to realize that there is more
than one way to pay for college. Student loans are completely overrated, especially for a young adult
that entering into the real world, since it puts the student in a really bad disposition at that moment and
also in the future. Student loan s main purpose is to consume the consumer into future continuous
debt. Another thing that student loans can do is possibly interfere with not just their financial future
but also their educational future. The education that the consumers receives during college is the most
important credential for getting a job since knowledge is key. ... Show more content on

Student loans will allow student to have a nice lifestyle during their college years, but in return
struggle to pay back the loan once they get out of college. On top of having to pay back this debt the
consumer will also have other expenses to pay such as home mortgage, phone bills, etc. The student
will have a very hard beginning of their life out of school thus adding financial stress and begins to
restrain their opportunities in life. In order to pay for his or her debt the student will probably have to
have multiple jobs and/or work overtime start out of college.
Mental wise, student loans are to backfired stress. Ignorance is the main reason why seniors take out a
loan to pay for college. Its is pretty nice to have a new car and nice clothes in college, but whats the
point. The student is attending the college or university to get a good education and start off their life
for themselves not to their borrower. This extra stress will restrain them to feel like they have to owe
something in order to have something, which is

Choosing A Career At Young Age
Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life´s coming attractions. (Albert Einstein) Choosing a
career at young age expands the imagination in one´s mind. At the age of five, my imagination was
expanding because that was all I thought about. Growing up to me meant there would be plenty of
responsibilities that would have to be taken care of. This is something that our parents teach us while
growing up. What is more important of those teachings is the significance. If you can pursue any
career path, then do it without the ideas of others. This is what I did. The actions of others affect your
thoughts. My elementary and middle school years changed my perspective of how my life would be
while growing up. I experienced bullying and behaviors that left me surprised. There were careless
teachers, rude comments of how I would grow up to be, and the words, You will never be good
enough unspoken, but still meant. I would just think this was normal, but it would continue for years.
Then bad things turn for the good. I was given the opportunity to start over by going to a new school.
There I was exposed to the career of Criminal Justice. This is where I had my mind set. The past years
of bullying affected my way of making decisions. I felt like I had to run my decisions through
somebody. That somebody were my parents. Each one of our parents dream of their child´s future, so I
was hoping we both had the same thoughts. After being at my new school for one year, I

Violence In Mccarthy s Blood Meridian
McCarthy s novel, Blood Meridian, is an interesting story about a boy who grows up in the chaos of
the world, but unlike most authors, McCarthy, creates a more complete image of humanity. McCarthy
includes violence and barbarism as a natural part of who we are as humans. The protagonist, the kid,
grew up with a father who was a drunken teacher who did not care for him or teach him how to read
or write. The kid was not taken care of, wasn t shown love, and wasn t given love; therefore he did not
know how to care or what being taken care of was. In the very first pages of the novel, McCarthy
constructs a violent image of the kid by stating, ... in him broods already a taste for violence
(McCarthy 3). McCarthy uses this quote as a starting point ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The gang and the judge seem to be killing for economic incentives and personal pleasure, which the
kid partakes in but then eventually grows out of. The kid s and the reader s attention and development
for compassion, care, or basic morality develop as McCarthy draws attention to the senseless violence
that is taking place around the kid. The kid is shown giving mercy twice in this novel, and not
celebrating the death of innocence like the other, especially the judge; McCarthy shows the judge s
submission to violence when he states, war is god (261). For me, I understood this statement from the
judge as if he was staying that war is ultimate, all powerful, or the last or fundamental level of things.
Politically I do agree that war is god. The power of coercion is ultimate and paramount to any other
for of power. For example, if I wanted a dollar from another person who did not want to give it to me,
I could try to persuade them or bribe them, but if that doesn t work, my ability to over power them,
and hurt them will ultimately force them to acquiesce. However this ideology of war is god spiritually
and mentally is detrimental to the development of compassion, care, or any kind of moral
development. This is where the audience and the kid begin to see a stark difference between
themselves and the judge. Although McCarthy doesn t reveal how the kid came about a sense of
compassion or care or the power if goodness, he does highlight the power of violence. I think that
McCarthy believes and has hope in humanity, as displayed through the moral development of the kid,
but I think he also understands and is trying to display the nature of violence that is in us even at a
young age, as if to make an argument for the necessity of compassion and a nurturing

There Is No Me Without You Tone
A person s capability is often limitless when his or her heart is drawn towards a certain matter. In her
memoir, There is No Me Without You, novelist and journalist, Melissa Fay Greene gives a candid
insight on one woman s odyssey to rescue Africa s children. Greene successfully creates a sympathetic
tone in order to stress the urgencies of the conditions for children in Africa living with AIDs and the
difficult lives that they face through the usage of rhetorical questions and pathos. Similarly, irony is
used to emphasize the ingratitude of the children despite Haregewoin s best efforts take care of them.

As the children grow, they become more demanding and expectant of Haregewoin, who had become
the maternal figure in their life and lose the grateful heart they once had. Despite everything
Haregewoin has done for these children, [t]hey say, Haregewoin does not help us. (332). It is ironic
that the children express so much ungratefulness after all the sacrifices and efforts that Haregewoin
has made to ensure that the African orphans have a better life. The insistence of Haregewoin s children
conveys a dramatic change in tone as the story transitions from an aspect of positivity and hope in
Haregewoin s journey to save the orphaned children to Harwegewoin s desperate attempt to win back
the hearts of the African children. Greene reveals an unlikely outcome of the years of sacrifice made
by Haregewoin to protect and love the ungrateful children through the abruptly ungrateful attitudes of
the orphans towards the only mother they have ever known.
Throughout Melissa Fay Greene s memoir, There is No Me Without You, feelings of sympathy are
invoked which in effect, causes readers to appreciate what they have, and are educated on a world
beyond their capacity. Rhetorical questions and pathos is used to stir sympathy within readers for the
African orphans with AIDs while irony is used to contradict the efforts and sacrifices of Haregewoin
for the children. Greene successfully creates a tone of sympathy and compels readers during her
memoir of a journey to save the orphans of

Neuroprotection in Very Preterm Infants, The Journal of Pediatrics (167)1, 52 57, 2015.
Background:
The article, which was published in July 2015 in journal of pediatrics, gives an idea about the safe use
of erythropoietin in preterm infants for protection of nervous system. Premature birth has remained
one of the major risk factor for cerebral palsy, cognitive defect and psychomotor development. Hence,
the main objective of the study present in this article was to ensure the safety and efficacy of use of
high dose erythropoietin in premature babies for neuro protection. The primary hypothesis of this
study was that high dose of recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEpo) improves mental develop

Native Americans And The Civil Rights Movement
With the arrival of the colonists came the vast discrimination and unacceptance of native Americans
whose land was wrongfully and aggressively taken. Native Americans were subjected to the mercy of
the Western European s deathly contagious small pox disease. More so, the Western European
colonizers began the use of slavery as a fast and cheap method of running plantations and other
intensive labor. Along with slavery, the western expansion began what would become the
discrimination of Latinos and Native Americans. These injustices would later culminate to what would
be known as the civil rights movement. A movement consisting of enlightening ideas, inspirational

Since before the restoration slave owners would force religion on their slaves, but with independence:
African American greeted freedom with mass exodus from white churches, where they had been

northern churches, such as the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Others formed black versions of
the major southern denominations, Baptist and Methodists. (Roark, Johnson, Cohen, et al. Pg. 418)
During the reconstruction slaves would be forced to worship whatever religious beliefs their owners
felt appropriate. After the reconstruction, slaves were able to worship whichever religion they wished

themselves and create all black churches. Other than having new religious freedoms, the civil rights

Some people feel that the Europeans had both a positive and negative impact on the expansion;
however, the negative impact gave a devastating result, which would continue to change history for
almost four hundred years. The Europeans were manipulative towards to indigenous people of the

Other goods, including guns were also sold to the African dealers, which facilitated their obtaining
more slaves. The shipment of the African slaves were brought from Senegambia, Sierra Leone, the
Windward Coast, Gold Coast and the Bight of Benin. They belonged to several tribes and several
language groups along some coast of Africa. A typical idea believed by the English planters was that
the African slaves did not hold to a system of beliefs that could be seen as a religion. The members of
the plantation and the church that served them felt, their beliefs amounted to nothing more than
heathenish superstition. But the Africans held religious beliefs derived from their homeland. It may be
useful to note that some of the slaves, particularly these who came from the Fula speaking area of
Senegambia, were Muslims. The Europeans not only expanded their land and economy they were also
expanding their minds with new ways of thinking such as Enlightenment . Major ideas of the actual

The twenty first century has seen its share of civil rights actions. The movements and groups harmed
in the United States has been shown support from countries in the Middle East, the UK, and even as

Plants and animals have been modified by traditional means since the advent of pastoralism and
agriculture through selective breeding. Naturally, humans will strive to improve upon this process
which afforded mankind with the ability to even begin building societies. The true issue with GMO s
is the oversight and business aspect. Private companies modifying plants to force farmers to buy seeds
annually allows them to recoup their costs and turn a profit but comes with a whole sleuth of ethical
and health implications. On the other hand, with farming land and water becoming scarce and earth s
population rapidly growing in many regions, one can t deny the vital importance of GMO s. Taking all
this into consideration I believe the discussion should not be centered on the merit or acceptability of
GMO s, but rather regulation, oversight, ethical standards, and research, allowing for a logical
development to take place in a transparent, efficient and fair manner. I believe that a topic so central to
all of the mankind needs to be centralized to a degree in everybody s interest. There needs to be a
sense of communal ownership, with strong limitations on patenting organisms, while also ensuring the
financial viability of development, either through subsidies or other

Ancient Civilizations
The Connections Between Ancient Civilizations
A civilization is born through the domestication of plants and animals followed by the cultivation of
these products in which a surplus allows for the specialization of labor. Civilizations allowed for
humans to create order and pursue intellectual and spiritual matters to a degree in which man had not
previously been allowed. Most ancient civilizations arose from a fertile farming location and
predictable harvest. When basic needs have been provided for the specialization of labor can provide a
culture a chance at endless artistic and technological advances. An analysis of the characteristics of
civilization demonstrates common threads which connect the ancient societies of Sumeria, Egypt, and
the Indus River Valley. Many of these connections can be found within each civilization s religion,
government, location, language, trade, and technology.
The deepest connection that binds Sumeria, Egypt, and the Indus River Valley together is their
location on a prominent river. Rivers provide rich fertile topsoil and access to freshwater, which
together are a recipe for life. Without these pockets of agricultural paradise these civilizations may not
have been formed at all. With societies such as Egypt, the Nile river was a calm, predictable, and
benevolent god. This allowed for the Egyptian people to use basic irrigation techniques such as the
Basin technique. This allowed for the regular flood waters to be contained and replenish the

Three Ways Police and Probation Officers can Reduce Gang...
Police and probation officers use two words to describe their jobs, to protect and to serve. Not only do
they put their lives in danger every day, but also help the community in more ways than one. Some
ways that police and probation officers can help lower gang violence is by implementing laws more
accordingly, establishing a relationship with troubled youth, and creating programs that benefit their
well being. The root of gang violence all begins at home and then spreads. A troubled teen may be
lacking the love and attention from their parent whether it is because they work too much, or simply
do not care. Then, the teen will result attending school and will begin to find that comfort in places
that they can feel stability. According ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If parents cannot control their children then police officers will need to teach teens why breaking the
law does not have a lovely consequence. Probation officers tend to deal with the softer side of
reducing gang violence. Once a teen is arrested for having or selling drugs then they are assigned a
probation officer that will follow up on their progress and insure they are staying out of trouble. They
will do routine visits to their home, place of work, or school. Especially for teens that are involved in
gang violence this could be an important factor to getting them to release their old ways and straighten
out. If a teen is part of a gang chances are they will be willing to take responsibility when they are
caught with drugs. The purpose of the probation officer will be educating them on why that life style
could not benefit their well being in any way. Instead, they will try to suggest distancing themselves
from those so called friends that only indulge bad behaviors. A probation officer can even suggest to
the court once they report back to the judge that the teen may need to be relocated whether it be to
another school or with another family member. This will allow positive reinforcements to surround
them.
` We establish that building a good relationship with these teens is essential. According to David
Forbes, he interviewed a probation officer named Sharon who stated in order to be a good probation

property, by the way, one thing one has to know is US is based on freedom of ownership of property,
and also in America, real estate, personally property and intellectual property right has value of
business in America and benefits for individuals. The importance of intellectual property was outlined

the World Intellectual Property Organization, this was an organization that look to protect industrial

The Lady Of Shalott Analysis
The 19th century was a time of stagnation. No social reform happened drastically. Women were still
seen as baby machines, granted better educated baby machines than before. Alfred Tennyson saw this
stagnation and found that through the popularity of poetry he was able to comment on the idea that
women are not living creatures on their own and depend on others for survival. Tennyson uses varied
word structure, particularized detail of each character, and an almost chapter like poetic form to
express this dependence through the lady herself. These expressions directly translate to concern for
the stunted 19th century ideology of what and who a woman should be and what could arise if this
stagnation continued to be the norm.

Finally at the end of Part II she states, I am half sick of shadows, (71) to express her yearning for more

no ability to partake, leading to her growing need and passion for real human companionship.
When The Lady of Shalott looks through her mirror she thinks not of her ability to remedy the
situation and wallows in her suffering while staring at what she believes to be the perfect place better
known as Camelot. Tennyson then juxtaposes his imagery of her tower when illustrating Part II with
colors and depictions of happy people trotting along the road on their way to Camelot. Every other
stanza begins with a line ending in with the word Camelot followed by three lines of description or
action with the last line always ending with Shalott. Never are Camlet and The Lady of Shalott more
than three stanzas away from each other, but never are they any closer. These back to back showcases
along with the constant distance between the lines ending in Camelot and the lines ending with Shalott
allow the reader to understand why the Lady of Shalott is so dependent on these shadows. Tennyson is
using these devices to portray the paradox of keeping women out of society then not understanding
why they are so dependent on others.

Many may consider that the exploration of the television distribution systems is not related to
traditional IT components. However, many elements of the traditional television distribution facility
are changing to using IT components, and the identification and analysis methods use a similar
analysis approach. This paper s content will concentrate on the issue of exploring how to move the
network to an alternative distribution location.
Problem Statement
The Fox network transmits over satellite communication infrastructure, and terrestrial fiber networks
36 linear television programing services from its Los Angeles facility. Additionally, the facility
provides about 100 Internet provided linear and non linear television services. These services only
provide programming to the United States audience. Other global transmission facilities provide the
programming services for the remaining global countries of the world. The Los Angeles facility uses a
highly integrated automation system to manage the expense of providing the services.
Computerized data, such as television material, is critical to the survival of the enterprise (Omar,

Kindergarten Vocabulary Instruction
Kindergarten Vocabulary: A Literature Review of Effective Instruction
Introduction
When students enter into the kindergarten classroom, they are greeted with a plethora of new
knowledge that they may have previously not had exposure, such as phonics, phonemic awareness,
fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. Within these, vocabulary is often a major struggle for many
children in kindergarten. Young children are often exposed to vocabulary through conversations, but
not in a manner of teaching it explicitly. Through this literature review it was my goal as a researcher
to find primary studies that focused on high quality instruction in the field of emergent vocabulary,
especially in the kindergarten classroom. This topic came into fruition through wanting to understand
literacy practices in kindergarten classrooms, since the implementation of Common Core State
Standards. I began the research through developing a list of key words and terms that were relevant to
my chosen topic of kindergarten vocabulary instruction. These terms included, but were not limited to
kindergarten vocabulary instruction, effective vocabulary instruction, vocabulary instruction, and
kindergarten classroom practices. Using Eagle search, Education Full Text, and Google Scholar I was
able to find four pertinent studies using the key term kindergarten vocabulary instruction . After
reading the abstracts of these four studies, I changed the key terms and searched emergent vocabulary

second class citizens. The Indian Act passed in 1876, has imposed a lot of restrictions to the Indians.
For instance, the First Nations are forbidden to speak their language or practice their traditional

it was a tribute to his mom.Secondly I liked the way the artist used everyday items to create this piece.
The Art piece was very visual with the mom cooking and cleaning Fowler used cloths for her clothing
and newspaper cutouts for the pots and pans she was using to cook.He used iron boards to display the
mom and husband in their house, the husband looks as he is walking in from somewhere with their

the iron board had the feels of home and the way he betrayed the house with a fireplace and a painting
above it. The scenery looks as if its a real house with it looking messy and very decorative. Aaron

It means assigning human personality traits/characteristics to a brand so as to achieve differentiation. For instance Allen Solley brand speaks the personality and makes the individual who wears it stand apart from the crowd. Infosys represents uniqueness, value, and intellectualism. • 4. The Effect Of Acid Concentration On Plant Plants And... Introduction Gibberellic Acid is a naturally occurring plant growth hormone that belongs to the gibberellin group (Gupta and Chakrabarty, 2013). Gibberellins are responsible for stem growth in plants and regulate the synthesis of proteins. Gibberellic acid is a by product of the Gibberella Fujikuroi fungi which has the effect of causing developing rice plants stems to grow in such an expeditious manner that the plant collapses (John M. Riley, 1987). The experiment s variables include the independent variable, which is the concentration of gibberellic acid that is used to soak the seeds, and the time period of germination, as well as the dependant variable, which is the number of seeds that germinate. The control used to compare seed germination and in this situation is the sample with a gibberellic acid concentration of 0 ppm. Constants in the experiment include factors affecting seed germination such as constant temperatures where each sample receives the same temperature and in the case of variation the same amount of variation, quantity of moisture where the same amount of gibberellic acid is added to each bag corresponding to the concentration, the samples should also receive the same conditions of light, have the same sowing density, and number of seeds per square centimetre. The aim of this practical is to investigate the effects of gibberellic acid on the germination rates of two plant species. It was hypothesised from the above information that higher ... • 6. The Use Of Rubia In Aramaic It s a tradition on Rosh Hashanah, to eat a variety of random foods as symbols for the upcoming Jewish New Year. Each food has a different meaning, weakly attributed to its name in Aramaic or Hebrew. At any given time there is at least one food that you will find completely revolting (fish head anyone?) and a couple others that you kind of like anyway. But what you didn t know is that each food you like actually tells you everything you need to know about your own personality and what type of neurosis awaits you in the coming year. Keep being the voice of balance and reason in the world. A timeless classic in the shtetls of Poland, the word for beet is Selek and it means you want your enemies to be banished Interpretation Your sense of victimhood is so strong you are incapable of banishing your inner and outer demons completely. At least Leek and Date have the strength of character to seek total annihilation of their imaginary enemies. • 8. Choosing A Career At Young Age Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life´s coming attractions. (Albert Einstein) Choosing a career at young age expands the imagination in one´s mind. At the age of five, my imagination was expanding because that was all I thought about. Growing up to me meant there would be plenty of responsibilities that would have to be taken care of. This is something that our parents teach us while growing up. What is more important of those teachings is the significance. If you can pursue any career path, then do it without the ideas of others. This is what I did. The actions of others affect your thoughts. My elementary and middle school years changed my perspective of how my life would be while growing up. I experienced bullying and behaviors that left me surprised. There were careless teachers, rude comments of how I would grow up to be, and the words, You will never be good enough unspoken, but still meant. I would just think this was normal, but it would continue for years. Then bad things turn for the good. I was given the opportunity to start over by going to a new school. There I was exposed to the career of Criminal Justice. This is where I had my mind set. The past years of bullying affected my way of making decisions. I felt like I had to run my decisions through somebody. That somebody were my parents. Each one of our parents dream of their child´s future, so I was hoping we both had the same thoughts. After being at my new school for one year, I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Violence In Mccarthy s Blood Meridian McCarthy s novel, Blood Meridian, is an interesting story about a boy who grows up in the chaos of the world, but unlike most authors, McCarthy, creates a more complete image of humanity. McCarthy includes violence and barbarism as a natural part of who we are as humans. The protagonist, the kid, grew up with a father who was a drunken teacher who did not care for him or teach him how to read or write. The kid was not taken care of, wasn t shown love, and wasn t given love; therefore he did not know how to care or what being taken care of was. In the very first pages of the novel, McCarthy constructs a violent image of the kid by stating, ... in him broods already a taste for violence (McCarthy 3). McCarthy uses this quote as a starting point ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The gang and the judge seem to be killing for economic incentives and personal pleasure, which the kid partakes in but then eventually grows out of. The kid s and the reader s attention and development for compassion, care, or basic morality develop as McCarthy draws attention to the senseless violence that is taking place around the kid. The kid is shown giving mercy twice in this novel, and not celebrating the death of innocence like the other, especially the judge; McCarthy shows the judge s submission to violence when he states, war is god (261). For me, I understood this statement from the judge as if he was staying that war is ultimate, all powerful, or the last or fundamental level of things. Politically I do agree that war is god. The power of coercion is ultimate and paramount to any other for of power. For example, if I wanted a dollar from another person who did not want to give it to me, I could try to persuade them or bribe them, but if that doesn t work, my ability to over power them, and hurt them will ultimately force them to acquiesce. However this ideology of war is god spiritually and mentally is detrimental to the development of compassion, care, or any kind of moral development. This is where the audience and the kid begin to see a stark difference between themselves and the judge. Although McCarthy doesn t reveal how the kid came about a sense of compassion or care or the power if goodness, he does highlight the power of violence. I think that McCarthy believes and has hope in humanity, as displayed through the moral development of the kid, but I think he also understands and is trying to display the nature of violence that is in us even at a young age, as if to make an argument for the necessity of compassion and a nurturing ... In her memoir, There is No Me Without You, novelist and journalist, Melissa Fay Greene gives a candid insight on one woman s odyssey to rescue Africa s children. Greene successfully creates a sympathetic tone in order to stress the urgencies of the conditions for children in Africa living with AIDs and the difficult lives that they face through the usage of rhetorical questions and pathos. Similarly, irony is used to emphasize the ingratitude of the children despite Haregewoin s best efforts take care of them. As the children grow, they become more demanding and expectant of Haregewoin, who had become the maternal figure in their life and lose the grateful heart they once had. Despite everything Haregewoin has done for these children, [t]hey say, Haregewoin does not help us. (332). It is ironic that the children express so much ungratefulness after all the sacrifices and efforts that Haregewoin has made to ensure that the African orphans have a better life. The insistence of Haregewoin s children conveys a dramatic change in tone as the story transitions from an aspect of positivity and hope in Haregewoin s journey to save the orphaned children to Harwegewoin s desperate attempt to win back the hearts of the African children. Greene reveals an unlikely outcome of the years of sacrifice made by Haregewoin to protect and love the ungrateful children through the abruptly ungrateful attitudes of the orphans towards the only mother they have ever known. Throughout Melissa Fay Greene s memoir, There is No Me Without You, feelings of sympathy are invoked which in effect, causes readers to appreciate what they have, and are educated on a world beyond their capacity. Rhetorical questions and pathos is used to stir sympathy within readers for the African orphans with AIDs while irony is used to contradict the efforts and sacrifices of Haregewoin for the children. If parents cannot control their children then police officers will need to teach teens why breaking the law does not have a lovely consequence. Probation officers tend to deal with the softer side of reducing gang violence. Once a teen is arrested for having or selling drugs then they are assigned a probation officer that will follow up on their progress and insure they are staying out of trouble. They will do routine visits to their home, place of work, or school. Especially for teens that are involved in gang violence this could be an important factor to getting them to release their old ways and straighten out. If a teen is part of a gang chances are they will be willing to take responsibility when they are caught with drugs. The purpose of the probation officer will be educating them on why that life style could not benefit their well being in any way. Women were still seen as baby machines, granted better educated baby machines than before. Alfred Tennyson saw this stagnation and found that through the popularity of poetry he was able to comment on the idea that women are not living creatures on their own and depend on others for survival. Tennyson uses varied word structure, particularized detail of each character, and an almost chapter like poetic form to express this dependence through the lady herself. These expressions directly translate to concern for the stunted 19th century ideology of what and who a woman should be and what could arise if this stagnation continued to be the norm. When The Lady of Shalott looks through her mirror she thinks not of her ability to remedy the situation and wallows in her suffering while staring at what she believes to be the perfect place better known as Camelot. Tennyson then juxtaposes his imagery of her tower when illustrating Part II with colors and depictions of happy people trotting along the road on their way to Camelot. The scenery looks as if its a real house with it looking messy and very decorative. Aaron Fowler is an amazing artist greatly inspired by Jacob lawrence.Fowler is just now an uprising artist from moving into his east Harlem studio in early 2015 and his work soon being known and reflecting his great talent.Aaron Fowler was born in St.Louis before moving to New York.
