Peek at the Week:
o The students identified beginning and ending sound
of /Nn/.
o We introduced the high frequencywords my, can,
in and we. We nowshould be able to read the
following words: I, see,the, look, a, it, on, my, can,
in and we.
o We practiced matching a lowercase letter with a
capital letter.
o We identified, used and practiced writing the letter
Nn.
o We used illustrations to understand a story.
o In Math, the students worked on identifying shapes
with their eyes and then their hands only! We also
used spatial vocabularyand counting 1-10.
o This week in Science,we continued learning about
plants. We learned plants can be identified by their
parts.
o Students presented their “My World”projects as we
continued discussing community.
Coming Up:
o In reading we will be working on the
letter Aa. We will review sequence
events, recognize green,orange,and
purple,and also learn the high
frequency words “that, at, had and
to”.
o We will practice writing the letter Aa.
o The students will be practicing writing
numbers,also.
o In science,we will recognize that
there are different types of plants.
o In math, we will recognize teen
numbers,sequence numbers 10-19,
estimate the numberofobjects in a
collection, and use pictures to
representand solve addition and
subtraction stories.
o We continue to discuss community
and things/people we see in our own.

o Snack Calendars are being sent home and are on my
website.
o Rest Time items are being sent home – Please
wash and return Monday. Thank You!
o On Tuesday, Sept. 27th, we returned to phys ed.
Please wear or bring your sneakers.
o Practice the quarter 1 words with your child.
o We had our first PCPP PAWS Behavior Fun Friday!
Students that did not get a “toe” colored in all month,
were able to participate in four, fun activities! Our
WHOLE class got to have fun!
o Any math, reading or printing homework sent home is
not due until the following Friday.
