Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
if you lost your script which was on
paper or left it at home.
either always take a photo of your
script therefore you can email it to
yourself so you do not loose it or have
it backed up on your USB.
if your characters don’t turn up as
planned or are missing one of them.
have a plan b of other people to use to
record so you don’t have to wait until
they are back or do turn up.
the computer which I have chose may
not have premier on it.
Complete any other work needed until I
change computers and double check
they have premier on it.
The peoples voices may not match the
characters well and not sound as you
planned.
also have a back up plan of other
people or next time remember to test
examples instead of choosing random
people.
hardware malfunctions have spare keyboards a mouse
available and monitors.
if you lose your memory stick, or leave
it anywhere.
email your work each time to make
sure you have a backup space so you
don’t loose all your work and wont
have to restart as that would be time
consuming.
Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
You stare at the computer for way too
long, or your back begins to ache after
sitting on a chair most of the day.
Take regular breaks and make sure you
eat and maybe switch chairs and make
sure you are comfortable beforehand.
Might have cramps for sitting down for
to long.
Take time to walk around stretch legs,
take longer breaks and relax.
You may spill water or drink over the
computer which may corrupt your work.
Make sure drinks are out of reach not
close to the laptop also make sure your
work is saved beforehand.
Brightness on the computer screen this
may cause your eyes to hurt.
Take regular breaks don’t spend all your
time staring at the computer screen.
Any studio lights used which have been
left on whilst recording in a room,
become very hot.
Make sure no one touches the studio
lights or turn them of in advance and
keep hydrated.
bags getting stuck under chairs, falling
off the chair.
keep bags under tables away form
reach, especially when on computers.
