2. Magazine cover evaluation
As you can see from looking at my production magazine front cover it is very
much more on the basic side and that is down to the reason that I left my front
cover last to create, as I felt that with the amount of time I had to create my
production work, that it would be easier to make the more detailed stuff first,
in this case my double page spread and my website production as I thought
that they would be the higher marked things, hence me creating them first.
However due to the fact of me creating this set production work first I barely
had anytime left to create my front cover, resulting in it being VERY last minute
, hence it being so bland and basic. As you can guess the initial of this front
cover was very basic and it really didn't’t take very long to create. The first step
of my production was to use the idea of taking a image and placing it onto an
A4 sheet on a Photoshop document and then went onto going onto Google
Images and collecting an image of a barcode, simply by copy and pasting it into
my Photoshop document, once I had done that an scaled it to an appropriate
size, I then moved onto creating a text layer and putting in the name of my
magazine at the top of my ‘front cover’, after this I then changed the font+size
and also the colour of the text, this then meant my front cover was created and
I went onto exporting it as a J-PEG.
If I had the extra time or at some point I am found with some form of extra time
to go back and improve this project in any way I will definitely be going back to
this front cover and be improving it a lot i.e. the idea of adding much more
features to it/to make it look like an actual film magazine front cover and not
an image with a bit of text on.

3. Double page spread evaluation
This is a comparison of an already existing
magazine font cover on the right and on the left
is my magazine cover, here I comparing the
already existing one to my production cover and
seeing which is better and what I can correspond
to mine. As you can see immediately from
looking at the already existing production is that
it is much more better and much more detailed
than what my production cover is, in fact there
isn't really any similarities with my production to
the already existing magazine cover apart from
the idea of it having a bar code and apart from
that they are all differences. The main things of
which I like from the already existing product and
that I would like ton include into my front cover if
I have time at some point, is the idea of the 3D
kind of image that it has, it almost seems like
that ‘Spider man “ is reaching out to grab your
hand and pull you into the magazine, I feel that it
would be cool to add in something like this to my
magazine as it would help to make it seem more
appealing to the viewer of my magazine rather
than it just being such a basic magazine with
hardly any features on. I would also take in the
idea of adding in bits of text around the front
cover which carries information, just like how the
already existing magazine cover does.

4. Double page spread evaluation
This here is the evaluation for the double page spread of my
for my magazine creation production. On a whole I feel that I
worked well with my work hence the time frame of which I had
left to complete my production work (front cover/double page
spread and website design. Although some people (viewers)
may seem to look at my double page spread and think that it is
basic, I tend to have a different opinion that it is just enough to
interest the viewer, even with the fc=act that it doesn't’t have
all these fancy colors/backgrounds with it, some people might
not like the idea of that, hence they would then prefer the idea
of my magazine, aa it seems to be slightly more of an
informing type.
Despite the fact that it doesn't’t have a main background
image, I am still of the opinion that my double page spread has
been included of some other good features some of which
include the idea of enlarging the letter at the start of each new
paragraph and adding some form of glow to it also making it
wider/more bold. This I feel was an excellent feature for me to
use as it helps to emphasis the start of a new
sentence/paragraph. I also made use of typically enlarging the
text heading for the title of my double page spread, but I also
made use of the idea of making the text much bolder/thicker
and also changing it to the style of a different text so that it is
even more of a stand via. It being more of an eye
catcher/drawer.

5. Double page spread evaluation
• From looking at my magazine double page spread and comparing it to this already existing example you can already get the idea that this already existing
example is of a much higher and better detail looking then my double page spread production. This can be seen in several different areas, for example in the
existing product example they have included a much bigger image then of which I did in mine, also it appears as if it has some kind of 3D effect towards it as
well, hence why it looks as if the magazine name in the top left, looks as if it is going into the image. There is some of the similarity of that the colors of which
are used in my double page spread, firstly is the obvious one and that is of which the black and white text and that of the red that is accompanying both images
on my double page spread and on the existing product, but despite the idea of this, the existing product still does have more of a colour range then my double
page spread, but this is in account from looing afar at the two double page spreads, but the you are forgetting the initial idea that there is different colour
letters at the start of each sentence/paragraph with my double page spread, this can be seen to be another similarity between the two double page spreads
and that is the fact that in some places on the double page spread there is the also the idea of thicker capitals in some places on the double page, they don’t
occur as often as they do with my double page spread, which I kind of see as a bit of a let down as I feel that by having it at the start of each it helps the viewer
to not lose there place/ be able to track where they are reading more easily.

6. Double page spread evaluation
• From looking at this I believe the initial idea that again the already existing product looks better then of what my double page spread would, I also believe that
it could be more likely to draw in the idea of a younger audience and this is down to one thing and that is because it has one image included in it, but the image
of which is able to cover the whole of the background of the double page spread, which will be something that really will draw in the audience and make them
want to view the article/double page spread about the film as from the look of the background image it could be seen to be helping to make the film look/see
that tab bit more dramatic in peoples minds. Between my double page spread and the existing product, I have the feeling that there would be a younger age
range audience whom would want to view the already existing product as it Is a new ‘James Bond’ film and everybody has the idea of loving a Jams Bond film
from any gender/age range, however due to the idea that the background image is so appealing I feel that it would be more appealing towards a younger male
audience. This is not the case with my double page spread, with mine I feel like it is in more of a formal double page spread and as a result it would appeal more
towards an older male audience, this kind of links with new start wars as there would be a higher age range audience who are viewing the new star wars as
they will have been watching star wars for a longer time and will also be the ones who have been around longer/ a wider understanding of Star wars.

7. Website design evaluation
This here is the evaluation for my website work, on a whole I feel that I worked well with
my website production , on a whole I believe that I worked better with my website
production out of all the other initial production work of which I have carried out. In my
opinion this is mainly because I found that I had already many ideas in my head of what
I wanted my production work on my website to look like so as it came up to creating my
website I already knew what I wanted it to look like. From looking at my three different
methods of production work I feel like I worked the quickest and smoothest with my
website design,howvever despite this I feel like if I had been given more time I would
have been able to add in more detail with my website production and possibly even
have made it seem more complicated/not as basic as I feel it would help to make my
website attract a wider audience, my website attracting a wider audience would be a
good idea/thing in my opinion as it would show that not only teenagers are the kind of
people who view websites rather then the idea of buying the magazine and viewing it,
most people would naturally see it easier to just view the website as they don't have to
buy/pay to view the website.

8. Website design evaluation
This here is a comparison between an already existing magazine film website and my film website design, both the existing and my
website are set on displaying one of the pages which features on the website, not the landing (home)page, which makes the comparison
to see quite unusual. From looking at the existing product example, you get the initial idea that it has more information included in it on
the page of which the screenshot is from then what mine does, as my website screenshot has the idea of three different images and
sections of text on where as with the existing product example, there is clearly several more images and parts of text than of what there
was in my website design. Due to this I feel that the already existing website would be more eye drawing towards people as in they
would have more interest for it as it looks to give more information then what mine does, however looks can be deceiving.
