I grabbed Kendallyn from the bathroom and we ran down the stairs into the basement– my older sisters room that is 80% underground and has one
barred window and absolutely no cell phone service. Once I told her the cause of alarm, she understood and from that moment on our instincts
kicked in. We were fully prepared because we had made a plan. We had no real weapons, but we did have my older sister's batons she used as a
majorette. We decided that if they could unintentionally break a nose, they would prove to be valuable for intentional injury if need be. We waited for
what seemed like hours in our little corner of the basement, but was really only about 40 minutes until I decided we needed a phone. Kendallyn
stealthily ran up the stairs to check on the invaders status before I made a break to my room. I sprinted and did a ninja roll down the hall and into
the living room and snatched my phone from the table. To my surprise, I saw I had 15 missed calls from aunt and 3 from my grandmother. I called
them back and was astonished to learn they had waited outside our house in the sweltering heat for 45 minutes because they wanted to see Kendallyn's
pig and were wondering why we have not made our way outside to greet them. Finally, we met them on the porch after our 45–minute terror. We told
