3. Title:
The title of this magazine is the most prominent feature it covers almost half of the page and it is written in huge
bold letters, except the last word is written in serif font to make it look more unique. The colour of the title is in
orange and white to compliment the background.
Drop cap:
The drop cap is the first letter of the article and drops down a few millimetres.In this magazine the drop cap is an
orange shade written in a triton font to go withe font of the title and not make it look too patented.
Main article:
The paragraphs are in a column or row form to compensate the readers reading style. This article only has two
paragraphs and they're in a row form in this double spread. There is also a line separating the two paragraphs.

4. Colour pallet:
The colour pallet of this double spread is blue, white, orange and brown. These colours are very
common for a sporty or nature related article.
Byline:
The Byline is usually at the end of the article or at the beginning to give credits to the writer of the
article, the byline for this article is printed underneath the last paragraph.
Credits:
credits are usually under the subtitle, the main image or below the end of the last paragraph. the credits consist of
the names of the photographer,stylist,designer,writer etc. The writers name for this magazine is given under the

Magazine image:
The magazine image is the main image that is used to advertise the contents of the double spread. The image
usually stretches out to both the pages if not just one or one and a half of the other page. It's purpose is to grasp
the eye of the reader and allow him to express enthusiam in what is being further explained in the double spread.
This magazine's main image spreads to both the pages and it's very impressive due to the landscape chosen and
advertises the art of travel and adventure as well as nature.

6. Pull quote:
A quote on a double spread is meant to grasp the readers attention and inform the reader a little
about the article, it can be a small extract from the article itself and it is placed anywhere where it is
easier for the consumer to see it first hand. In thus magazine there is a quote on the right hand side
of the article and it depicts that the person whom the article is taking her inspiration from the
women in this world because she feels that women understand women better and it's important for
everyone woman to stand United to support one another.
Header/Footer:
The Header and the Footer are almost the same except that the header is situated at the top
corner of the page and the footer is situated at the bottom corner of the page. The header/footer
consist of the magazine name, number, date, section, etc. In this double spread there is a footer
that informs the reader about the magazine name and page. The name of the magazine is
Acapella.
Title:
The title of this magazine is in quotes and it connotates that a person needs to set a goal in order
to achieve it, a plan needs to be constructed before going for the big blow. The title is displayed in
a way that attracts the consumers attention. The colour of the title is in a cream colour to
compliment the main image.

7. Subtitle:
The subtitle is the description above the main article giving the audience a little insight on what the
article is about. The subtitle in this double spread is written in a white san serif font and introduces
the consumer to an interview of Marian Hewish.
Main article:
The main article is in three columns to make it easier for the consumer to read the paragraphs. The
typography is simple and white because the title and pull quote is already conceived as fancy and
the background is dark.
Drop cap:
The drop cap is in a serif font and is not very imposing otherwise it would look too pretentious.

8. Colour pallet:
The colour pallet for this double spread is orange, brown, white, black and green. These colours are chosen
because the image is taken outdoors and the natural colours of nature are earth colours and different shades of
green.
Content box:
Content boxes usually advertise the work of the artist. In this double spread there isn't specifically a box but a
corner at the bottom right side where the artist's latest music video is mentioned in a simple white font so that it
does not grasp the whole attention of the consumer but just enough so that it isn't too vague.
Main image:
From the main image we can perceive that the model is focused and knows what she’s doing. She has an
expression that breaks the female stereotype that women are naive and frail. The image is taken outdoors which
connote that women can also survive in this world where it seems unlikely for women to step out to achieve their
goals.

The title is in capital letters to make it stand out and it is written in a stylish font which is mainly used to attract the
female audience. The word, ‘girl” is in a bright pink colour to indicate female youth and innocence. The rest of the
phrase is in black as well as the word ‘woman’ which represents maturity. The title is connotes that the actress,
miley cyrus, is transforming into a young woman by facing the obstacles in her life to get to the top of her career.
Main image:
The main image covers the whole page and the colours used aren't feminine but are dark and un-frilly. Miley’s
attire is all black which is the same as the word ‘woman’ portraying that she is no longer a girl but is in growing
into an adult.Her expression seems like she is jaded and doesn't seem to bother making a pose for the camera
indicating that she has surpassed most of her struggles into becoming a mature adult.
Byline:
The byline is on the top of the main article in a box with white borders and is written in pink for it to stand out make
it more obvious who the writer of the article is.

11. Header/Footer:
The double spread has a footer consisting of the page number and magazine name. There is no header in this
double spread.
Main article:
The main article is in a simple white text complementing the background and consisting of a single paragraph
because the whole point of the double spread is to attract the younger audience and teenagers appeal more to
images than long paragraphs. The article is obviously about the main model telling the audience a little about her
life which is what the title has already denoted.
Celebrity name:
The name of the celebrity is also mention in the box above the main article in black and bold.
Arrow:
At the end of the article there is an arrow signifying that the article does not end right there, in simple words it
means to be continued.
