A quote on a double spread is meant to grasp the readers attention and inform the reader a little

The subtitle is the description above the main article giving the audience a little insight on what the
article is about. The subtitle in this double spread is written in a white san serif font and introduces
the consumer to an interview of Marian Hewish.

The main article is in three columns to make it easier for the consumer to read the paragraphs. The
typography is simple and white because the title and pull quote is already conceived as fancy and
the background is dark.
Drop cap:
The drop cap is in a serif font and is not very imposing otherwise it would look too pretentious.
8. Colour pallet:
The colour pallet for this double spread is orange, brown, white, black and green. These colours are chosen
because the image is taken outdoors and the natural colours of nature are earth colours and different shades of
green.
Content box:
Content boxes usually advertise the work of the artist. In this double spread there isn't specifically a box but a
corner at the bottom right side where the artist's latest music video is mentioned in a simple white font so that it
does not grasp the whole attention of the consumer but just enough so that it isn't too vague.
Main image:
From the main image we can perceive that the model is focused and knows what sheâs doing. She has an
expression that breaks the female stereotype that women are naive and frail. The image is taken outdoors which
connote that women can also survive in this world where it seems unlikely for women to step out to achieve their
goals.
10. Title:
The title is in capital letters to make it stand out and it is written in a stylish font which is mainly used to attract the
female audience. The word, âgirlâ is in a bright pink colour to indicate female youth and innocence. The rest of the
phrase is in black as well as the word âwomanâ which represents maturity. The title is connotes that the actress,
miley cyrus, is transforming into a young woman by facing the obstacles in her life to get to the top of her career.
Main image:
The main image covers the whole page and the colours used aren't feminine but are dark and un-frilly. Mileyâs
attire is all black which is the same as the word âwomanâ portraying that she is no longer a girl but is in growing
into an adult.Her expression seems like she is jaded and doesn't seem to bother making a pose for the camera
indicating that she has surpassed most of her struggles into becoming a mature adult.

The byline is on the top of the main article in a box with white borders and is written in pink for it to stand out make

The main article is in a simple white text complementing the background and consisting of a single paragraph
because the whole point of the double spread is to attract the younger audience and teenagers appeal more to
images than long paragraphs. The article is obviously about the main model telling the audience a little about her
