2. The title “Veuxdo” is in an unusual and interesting font and is effected to make it look somewhat 3-D, this will appeal to a very wide audience as it draws the attention to it straight away The picture of Nicki Minaj is dominate of the page which makes her stand out. The writing around her is somewhat like a border making her more pronounced on the page. The picture type is also that of a Medium Close up, which is consistent with most music related magazines. The colour scheme is very consistent and suggests that the genre is R&B (Ghetto).
3. The headline “Lily Allen” is in a bold, contrasting font/colour. This is so it stands out and draws the Audience’s attention towards it. Thus making it want to be read. The title “NME” is very contrasting in it’s colour scheme. The editor is also very confident in the popularity of the magazine as some of the title is covered up The sub-heading stands out as the colours are contrasting to the general colour scheme of red and black. The layout of this also helps to emphasize the impact of the central image. The picture of Lily Allen emphasizes the general genre of this particular magazine: Punk/Indie. It also stands out on the page as it is centralised and is somewhat surrounded by a border of headings/sub-headings. This shot is also a medium close up which is consistent with many music magazines. Both of these are of the same magazine company yet they both strangely have a different impact and audiences. I should take this into account when creating my own magazine
4. The Headline stands out greatly due to the colour scheme and boldness of the font. This effect will make the audience want to read on about the article. The Image of Avril stands out greatly as part of it is blurred, giving a greater emphasis on her facial expression and makeup. Again the sub-headings around create a border thus increasing her boldness and making her stand out more. This shot is again a medium close up which is again consistent with music magazines. The title “InTune” contrasts somewhat with the background, thus making it stand out. Yet again the editor feels confident in the popularity and obstructs some of the title. I should take this into account when I create my own magazine for a greater effect.
