1. Question 3: How do your products engage with the audience and how would they be
distributed as real media products.
Answer: There is no point of making a product without targeting it to a specific media
audience. To find our target audience we have conducted many surveys. Through these
surveys we got to know the demographic and psychographic of our target audience. Our
survey results show that 45% of our target audiences age is 18-24. Our protagonist was 19
years old .The reason why we chose her was because the audience could relate more to her
as they will be in the same age group.
Through Our survey results we also got to know that 68% of our target audience
watches music videos on YouTube which gave us an idea that we should upload
our music video on YouTube since that is one of the most visited website for
watching music videos online. This survey also helped us choose our genre. Most
of our target audience prefer Classical Pop music.Our survey also showed that
most of our audience preferred to watch narrative based music video which is why
most of our music video is narrative based . Our audience wanted to see the
culture of Pakistan which is why we decided on an idea that shows the culture as
well as raise social issues in the. The location we chose was a Mughal architecture
haveli which reflects the culture as well as the traditional clothes the protagonist
is wearing. The dance of the protagonist is also our classical dance. All these
elements together create a cultural vibe In the music video.
2. The representation of Classical Pop engages with the audience as our music video
represents the stereotypes in the society and how a women is expected to live a colourless
life after being widowed. In our music video we are trying to educate the stereotypical in
our society. For example, we have showed in our music video that after getting widowed
she’s applying makeup and women in the society are rubbing her makeup off.
For distributing our media we designed a record label which promote personal questions in
our society. Our media is available on YouTube because most of our target audience
watched music videos on YouTube. Other channels of distribution that we used to distribute
our media is artist website. We created a website on wix.com and uploaded our music
3. promotion package on that so that the singers fans could easily view it.
Social media platform was also used to promote our media. We made pages on several
social media websites so that the artist could stay in touch with the audience and his
audience could view his work. Our music promotional package was also displayed on local
television channels and radios. CD of our media are also readily available for our audience.
Our website also shows the tour dates for our artist with the option to book the tickets
online. This feature was added for the convenience of audience so that they can easily
purchase tickets online. Not just that, now our audience can also contact the artist and give
their feedback on the artists work.
