2. In my magazine it is very clear, I feel as to
who the target audience is.
The house style of my magazine is pink
black and white. The pink clearly shows
that my magazine is targeted at girls as
this colour is stereotypically a girls
favourite colour, and would therefor
attract the majority of young girls
instantly.
The use of Rene Simons makeup
makes the magazine automatically
appeal to a generation of girls that
would be starting to think about the
way they look more and wearing
makeup themselves.
By talking about concert events the
magazine is aiming to attract wealthy girls
that can afford to go to the concerts and
event being held and advertised in the
magazine. This therefor attracts a lower
middle class audience.
The topics of my cover lines involve things
that my target audience would be interested
in such as inspirations and behind the
scenes. They would be interested in these as
at this age you want to no everything about
your favourite artist to ensure you can class
yourself as their biggest fan so behind the
scenes makes you believe you are one of
few people that will know this information.
I have included music notes in my mast
head to make it clear that the magazine is
a music magazine and also to attract the
target audience of music lovers. I have
made them pink to attract a female
audience.
3. The facial expression on Rene
Simons is playful and posed this
attracts the target audience as they
can relate to the silliness and
character of the singer.
By having the microphone as a prop
it attracts the target audience
because it is a clear feature of music
and the target audience are
interested in music.
Including a boy band attracts the
target audience of girls as they are
interested boys and music so boys
that make music are of massive
interest to them.
The editors note attracts the
target audience as it makes it
feel personal to the reader and
girls like to feel special.
By including features of interest to
teenage girls this automatically
attracts them toward the magazine
and makes them want to read it to
find out new information on the
people and things they enjoy.
4. I chose one quote from my article
to have on the opposite side to the
rest of the article to stand out. The
quote I chose was ‘you never no
who’s using you for your fame’ I
chose this quote as I felt that my
target audience could relate to this
as most girls no what it feels like to
be used by other people. This
would therefore attract them
toward the article as they can
relate to the situation.
This font was chosen to
attract the target
audience because it is
The concrete surroundings create an urban
feel to the page. This attracts the target
audience as this urban style is very popular
with teenagers of todays generation.
