1. Social Classes
Upper Those who have higher power and wealth in society
might not be interested in a magazine like this because it
is a rock magazine. Rock magazines associate with being
rebellious, they are also aimed at younger people (15-
25)- many people who are classed in the Upper region
will most likely be above this age.
Middle Often people who work in the private sector, this means
their incomes may be higher than average, they will not
be likely to spend their salaries on items such as rock
magazines. Again they do not fit the age target audience
because they often fall in to the 30-50 age bracket,
therefore they will not have interest in the magazine as
well.
Working These are often people who work in the public sector
and only earn the average wage, this means a magazine
is more desirable to them because it is affordable. The
age of the audience would fit this class as they often
come under the ages 25.
Under These are people who are unhealthy and possibly
unemployed, they are more likely to be on benefits and
rather buy other items. This is not really based on ages,
therefore I can only assume that not all people in this
class would be interested in the magazine.
