Let’s just cut to the chase. Facebook in all its glory is by far the single most important space for your small business to market on. You can get insanely specific with the individuals that you are trying to target, as well as communicate in a way that promotes collaboration and discussions. So why what are the differences between Facebook Groups and Pages? Well we use both on a consistent basis to help promote our clients work as well as showcasing our clients as experts in the industry, by answering industry specific questions online. This article will be spent discussing Facebook Groups and is part 1 of 2 in our series on Facebook Groups and Pages.

Discussion on Vector Databases, Unstructured Data and AI
https://www.meetup.com/unstructured-data-meetup-new-york/
This meetup is for people working in unstructured data. Speakers will come present about related topics such as vector databases, LLMs, and managing data at scale. The intended audience of this group includes roles like machine learning engineers, data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and PMs.This meetup was formerly Milvus Meetup, and is sponsored by Zilliz maintainers of Milvus.

The Building Blocks of QuestDB, a Time Series Databasejavier ramirez
Talk Delivered at Valencia Codes Meetup 2024-06.
Traditionally, databases have treated timestamps just as another data type. However, when performing real-time analytics, timestamps should be first class citizens and we need rich time semantics to get the most out of our data. We also need to deal with ever growing datasets while keeping performant, which is as fun as it sounds.
It is no wonder time-series databases are now more popular than ever before. Join me in this session to learn about the internal architecture and building blocks of QuestDB, an open source time-series database designed for speed. We will also review a history of some of the changes we have gone over the past two years to deal with late and unordered data, non-blocking writes, read-replicas, or faster batch ingestion.

Adjusting OpenMP PageRank : SHORT REPORT / NOTESSubhajit Sahu
For massive graphs that fit in RAM, but not in GPU memory, it is possible to take
advantage of a shared memory system with multiple CPUs, each with multiple cores, to
accelerate pagerank computation. If the NUMA architecture of the system is properly taken
into account with good vertex partitioning, the speedup can be significant. To take steps in
this direction, experiments are conducted to implement pagerank in OpenMP using two
different approaches, uniform and hybrid. The uniform approach runs all primitives required
for pagerank in OpenMP mode (with multiple threads). On the other hand, the hybrid
approach runs certain primitives in sequential mode (i.e., sumAt, multiply).
3. Age
15 - 20
20 - 30
30 above
Q2. Age?
At first as I wanted my target
audience to be teenagers I gave in
more questionnaires to the teen
group so the majority who filled
were from the age of 15 to 20 and
the minority was of the ones from the
age 30 above.
4. Analysis from the ages 15 to 20
(main target audience)
In this age group there were only students doing A ’levels and O’levels. As they themselves
don’t have any income they mentioned there family income in the income area and the majority
family income is 30,000 above that will make an estimate of how much pocket money they get
which could be around about 2 – 4000. So this way we can tell whether they would afford a little
expensive magazine any time or not. But when they came up to the question of how much
would they pay for a magazine the majority said 1500 as it will also depend on the pocket
money and a very little minority said 2000. So this would help in constructing a perfect price for
the magazine. Generally girls from this age group are interested in fashion itself and celebrity
gossip and a very minor percentage would like to read proper articles in a magazine. The
people from this age group buy magazines generally on a monthly basis so this way I would
keep my magazine issue monthly too as it is preferred that way. Generally teenagers tend to
buy magazines if they are attracted towards the front cover but there is also a group of people
who tend to look up more inside than the outside. But this group states that they don’t do
much in their leisure time; either they sleep, watch movies or use whatsapp or any other social
networking sites. After analyzing these questionnaires I came up to the point that the majority
didn’t took it seriously and that would make me change my target audience as firstly very few
of them knew about famous magazines a very few knew about vogue and some even
mentioned Sunday a local magazine and seventeen an American magazine famous for
teenagers.
5. purchase.
yes
no
Q. Do you buy fashion magazine?
As per my result 70% of the people
who answered the questionnaire do
purchase fashion magazine. This
shows that the majorities do want to
stay up to date and are fashion
conscious.
6. fashion
music
political
historical
teen
sports
women
men
lifestyle/ fitness
Q. Category of magazines you like to
read?
As my target audience is women who
are fashion conscious as 70% do buy
fashion magazine so 50% of the
participants choose fashion and 30%
choose teen as generally I targeted
teenagers from the age of 15- 20. A
very few percentage of people said
lifestyle and fitness from the age
group of 20 to 30 and 30 above.
7. Elle
Vogue
Glamour
Marie Claire
Cosmopolitan
Allure
Harper Bazar
W
Q. What fashion magazine do you
read?
Famous fashion magazines are very
successful but they are different from
each other and all these different
styles attract different audiences.
Vogue is read up by the majority and
so I can focus on displaying my
magazine in a similar way to Vogue‘s
magazine layout.
8. Daily
weekly
Monthly
yearly
Q. How often do you buy magazine?
I had this question to decide what
kind of magazine issue should I have
daily weekly monthly or yearly. The
audience tends to buy magazines on
a monthly basis; this is because big
famous fashion magazines such as
vogue tend to produce magazines
monthly.
9. fashion trends
beauty
gossip
celebity
relationships
advices
current trends
adverts
articles
Q. what content in a fashion
magazine do you prefer?
This can help me in constructing the
perfect layout as I will know what
people want more and this way I
can’t set up a specific content for the
double spread page too. So 50%
people are interested in fashion
trends and then a 15% is interested in
beauty , 8% people do look up to the
advertisements, 10% read articles
and 12% are interested in current
trends.
11. 1500 below
2000
2000 above
How much are you willing to pay for
the magazine?
Generally my audience were willing
to pay 1500 below as I targeted the
age group of 15-20 and as they are
not earning they would prefer to pay
lesser. This way I can have a fix price
too.
12. 1500below
2000
2000above
Q. Howmuch areyou willingto pay
for amagazine?
As my target audience isteenagers
and they don’t generallyearnso it
depends ontheir pocketmoneyhow
much wouldthey putupon a
magazine so thisis why they said
1500 below. Only 7% fromthe age
group20-30 saidtheywouldspend
2000and a verylittleminority states
theywouldspend2000 aboveona
magazine.
13. mobiles
tablets
pc
paper
others
Q. what other formats do you read a
magazine In?
Generally audience reads magazine in
the actualpaper format buy due to
increasing technology people also can
read magazine on mobile phones and
tablets on different applications.
14. sleep
watchmovies
meet up with
old friends
family outings
restuarants
Gym
Q. What do you do in yourleisure
time?
This shows what kind of people read
magazines and how much time do
they spend on reading. And this can
also help us in defining their social
status.
