How old are you?
15 or under 16-20 21-30 31-40 41-50 51+
When I asked the question “how old are you?”, these are the
answers that I received. The main ages that I was given feedback
on was the ages between 16 and 20 years old. This is good for
my feedback because my target audience for my product is
between the ages of 16 and 30, and 56% of people were aged
16-20 and 6% were aged between the ages of 21 and 30. This
makes up 62% of the audience who answered my audience
feedback.

Female Male Other
What gender are you?
When I asked the audience “what gender of you?”, 79% of them
were female, 18% were male and 3% identified as other. This is
good because my product is targeted at all genders and not
specified for one gender. However, it is bad because most of the
people who answered my questionnaire were female and that
could bias the results of my questionnaire somehow.

Would you buy this magazine just by seeing the
front cover?
On this question, I asked “would you buy this magazine just by
seeing the front cover?”, and I got results that were in favour of
them buying it. However, 46% of people said “no” when asked,
and some of their reasons were: “I don’t buy magazines”, “I’d
need to know more about it, it be recommended or see great
advertisements for the magazine”, “not my type of thing” and “I
have a different preference in music”.

What genre of music do you think this
magazine is?
Pop Indie Rock Rock Rap Metal Indie
When I asked “what genre of music do you think this magazine
is?” on my questionnaire, 54% of people thought it was indie-
rock. This is good because that is the genre of music that my
product is based on. When I asked “Why?”, some answers I
received were: “the way she is dressed resembles indie rock
music”, “She's wearing denim and lace together with a beanie,
catfish are pretty indie”, “Bands mentioned” and “The clothing
style and the bands fit the stereotype as well as the general
appearance”.

When I asked the audience “what do you find appealing on
the contents page”, the most popular answer was images
with 45% of answers. Next was the colour scheme with 19%
of the answers. After that, it was both article headlines and
article information with 11% each. This shows that my
images were drawing the attention of the audience who
answered my questionnaire, but also the colour scheme,
article information and article headlines were attention
grabbing too.

Column1 Series 2 Column2
When asked “which do you find appealing in the contents
page?”, the main answer I received, with 45% of votes, was
tour dates. After that came interviews with 21% of the votes,
followed closely by posters with 20% of the overall votes.
The least favourite answer that was given was competitions,
with 16% of the overall votes, but this is still quite a high
number of votes considering that the most popular answer
only had 24% of votes. Furthermore, this shows that when
creating a magazine, there should be all five of the options
included in it because it will attract a certain audience.

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being not at all, 10 being

magazine?

When I asked “On a scale of 1-10 (1 being not at all, 10 being
definitely) how likely is it that you would buy this magazine?”,
17% of people overall said 10, 10% said 9, 9% said 8, 11% said 7,
14% said 6, 8% said 5, 7% said 4, 2% said 3, 10% said 2 and 12%
said 1. This is helpful because the highest answer was 10, and
there was a range between all of the numbers, so I know that
my product would be sold to different members of the target
audience.

Do you think £2.80 is a suitable price for a
monthly magazine?
When I asked the question “do you think £2.80 is a
suitable price for a monthly magazine?”, 84% of people
said yes, they would spend £2.80 a month on my
magazine. When I asked “why?”, I got answers such as:
“It is very affordable”, “Not to expensive”, “average price
for most magazines”, “Justifiable price for a monthly
when compared to others”. However, when I asked
“why?” for the 16% that said no, I received answers such
as: “Too much for some paper”, “Because it's dull and if
it stood out more I would pay extra so the answer is no”
and “About £1.50 would be enough”.
11. In what order would you say that these certain
aspects are important to you? (1st being the most,
4th being the least)
Article Information Colour Scheme Images Cheap Price
I asked “In what order would you say that these
certain aspects are important to you? (1st being the
most, 4th being the least)”. The highest answer that
was put as the first option was article information,
then the highest for the second option was images,
the highest for the third choice was colour scheme
and that leaves the cheap price to be the fourth most
popular. This tells me that if I were to create a
magazine, I should make the article information the
most important part of the magazine, followed by the
colour scheme, followed by images, followed by a
cheap price.
