my target audience for my indie music video

From my research and questionnaire I have found my target audience to be students. Age 16
-23. I think this is because people at this age can relate to the lyrics and themes of
these kind if bands, love, sex, drugs etc.
The gender for my genre of music tends to lean more towards male although some female
do enjoy the indie band genre. The dominance of male audience could be to do with the
fact indie bands are usually made up od young males themselves that lyrics can relate
to other males. Males may also aspire to be like indie band members as they carry a
cool persona.

From my findings my target audience is most likely to be.
• A student (between 16-23)
• White British
• Dress individually in vintage/dark clothing
• Own some kind of indie band merchandise
• Have seen an indie band live at a gig or festival
• Enjoys socializing with friends and smokes/drinks
• Music is a big part of their life and they listen to it frequently
• possibly plays an instrument (drums, guitar)
