2. ANALYZING THE LEARNER
My first grade classroom has a total of 20
children. 9 are males and 11 are females. 6 are
African-American, 12 are Caucasian, and 2 are
Hispanic. 2 students have ADHD and 1 student is
paralyzed from the waist down
3. MAIN OBJECTIVE
Students will learn the meaning of
onomatopoeia through song and game. They
will know the meaning and identify words as
onomatopoeia by the end of the week with
100% accuracy.
4. DAY-BY-DAY PLAN
• Monday: Students will be introduced to Onomatopoeia by
game
• Tuesday: Students will listen to songs involving sound words
• Wednesday: Students will watch a slideshow
• Thursday: Students will make their own short story
• Friday: Students will be assessed by identification process
