2. ANALYZING THE LEARNER
My first grade classroom has a total of 20
children. 9 are males and 11 are females. 6 are
African-American, 12 are Caucasian, and 2 are
Hispanic. 2 students have ADHD and 1 student is
paralyzed from the waist down
3. MAIN OBJECTIVE
Students will learn the meaning of
onomatopoeia through song and game. They
will know the meaning and identify words as
onomatopoeia by the end of the week with
100% accuracy.
4. DAY-BY-DAY PLAN
• Monday: Students will be introduced to Onomatopoeia by images
• Tuesday: Students will listen to podcasts and read blogs involving
sound words
• Wednesday: Students will watch a video and be introduced to a
class Facebook
• Thursday: Students will be introduced to websites that give extra
information and examples on onomatopoeia. They will also watch a
teaching video. Students will then have an out of class Zello
meeting where they can talk to each other and ask questions from
a computer, phone, or iPad
• Friday: Students will create a class Wikispace as well as a bot to go
along with onomatopoeia. They will then be assessed on material
