2. Target audience
• Stereotypically as our film is of the motorsport
genre it will attract a very large percentage
male audience. Although the film also lies in the
niche market as it isn't a very popular genre.
3. Our audience
• Personally I would say that our
film would be targeted a niche
domestic audience. I would
say this as it is filmed at the
Silverstone race track and
therefore would be more
interesting to the local in
Silverstone rather than a
global audience. By aiming the
film at a smaller audience it
makes it easier to reach the
goals set by the distribution
company, and also get as
much profit possible for a
smaller budget film.
4. BBFC
• BBFC is also known as
the British Board of
Film Classification, and
it is classed as a non
governmental individual
institution that must be
used by every film to
rate the footage, it is
illegal for a film to be
distributed without a
BBFC rating.
5. Our film Rating
• As a group we have decided
that we think our film should be
rating at age 15. This is the
age we chose because we
thought that if the film was to
be made into a full length then
there would be some scenes
that could be disturbing as well
as bad language used to
emphasise the emotions
throughout. Even though we
have decided this, the final say
of rating would be down to the
BBFC, and it would be decided
after the film is complete.
