1. Distribution
• Distribution is a way in which something is
shared out among a group or spread over an
area. For example distribution of films.

2. Optimum Releasing
• We researched Optimum Releasing and looked at what films
they distributed. is a film distributor company working in the
UK and Ireland. The company releases many films, including
foreign language films.
• The company was founded in 1999 and is based in London.
• We feel that they are likely to be interested in our film
because the type of films they distribute are similar to our
opening sequence as the majority of them are thrillers.

3. • We believe our film is going to appeal to
teenagers/ young adults across the globe as it
is based on a typical young persons life.
During our target market research we found
out that young people from the age of 15 – 24
are commonly interested in thrillers.
Therefore it will appeal to that target
audience.

4. Marketing strategies
• Because of our low budget, money spent on
posters and advertising will be limited.
• Our first marketing strategy would be posters
which will be in magazines and bus shelters.
• We could also create a trailer and upload to
YouTube and Facebook because it is free.
• Because we will be given very limited release, we
will be doing advances screenings in our local
area which could create positive word of mouth.

5. Self-distribution
• Another option would be to self-distribute. An
advantage of this is we can retain full control and
rights over our film, giving us the choice over
where our film is shown. We also will not have to
share the profit with the distributor, which could
mean we make more money. The disadvantages
of this is that it could be very time consuming and
limits the size of our audience. We feel that for
our film we would need to find a distributor as it
would be more likely for our film to be
recognized.
