The document provides a summary of a student's media coursework which included a music video, digipak, and poster. The music video received praise for its cinematography, lip syncing, and visuals matching the tone of the song. Both the digipak and poster showed proficiency in technical skills like layout, image editing, and use of color palettes. While the designs followed conventions, the poster could have benefited from a more interesting font choice. Overall the work demonstrated strong technical abilities across the various projects.
1. A2 Coursework – Media Texts
Name: OLIVER Alexander
Music Video
Footage:
Great cinematography throughout. Excellent use of lip syncing in a variety of
different locations. Visuals match the tone of the song well. Could have more
narrative throughout the video.
Editing:
Footage has been edited well to the beat. Lip syncing matches very well. Great
use of faded up colour grading.
Overall:
There is evidence of excellence in the creative use of many of the technical skills.
A great performance video with strong artist lip syncing.
Ancillary Task 1: Digipak
There is proficiency in the creative use of most of the technical skills. The layout
has been considered well and follows industry conventions. Images have been
framed, cropped, resized and edited well. The images on the front and back cover
are the strength fading through each of from colour to black and white. Text
chosen is appropriate.
Ancillary Task 2: Poster
There is proficiency in the creative use of most of the technical skills. The layout
has been considered well and follows industry conventions. Images have been
framed and edited well using the same sweeping colour pallet which matches the
digipak. Text chosen is appropriate, although could have benefited from a more
interesting font choice.
