Music Video
Footage:
Excellent cinematography, in the opening sequences. Footage is shot confidently
and matches the feel and tone of the song well. Narrative could have been clearer.
Editing:
Edited well to the beat of the song well. Good use of black and white and
contrasting colour shots when they are together. Long edits match the feel of the
song.
Overall:
There is evidence of proficiency in the creative use of many of the technical skills.
Good conceptual video. Would have benefited from a clearer narrative or being
fully conceptual.
Ancillary Task 1: Digipak
There is evidence of basic ability in the creative use of some of the technical skills.
The layout shows some awareness of industry conventions. However the legal text
on the back page needs more consideration, ‘the man upstairs’ is not appropriate.
Back cover and spine are also missing a record label logo. Image for the front
cover is cropped and framed well, however a variety of photos including some of
your artist would have been beneficial.
Ancillary Task 2: Poster
There is proficiency in the creative use of most of the technical skills. The layout
has been considered well and follows industry conventions. Image has been
designed, painted, scanned and edited well. Poster does not match the digipak
which is a shame. Text chosen is appropriate.
