Very good use of camera, with good variety of shots, mostly in focus. Great use of
framing. Good use of mise-en-scene (especially the use of locations and singer).
Ambitious footage that has been filmed in double speed. Great use of extras to fill
in background.
Editing:
Video is edited to beat with some good actions to beat. Great use of transitions.
Footage has been edited very well, with footage slowed down to fit music and
lyrics.
Overall:
Very good video which meets the conventions of the genre. Great attention to
visuals to maintain audience interest, clear narrative to capture mood of song.
Very ambitious technique executed well.
Ancillary Task 1: Digipak 8/10
Sophie has demonstrated high proficiency in the design of her digipak for her
artist. There is clear awareness of the industry and genre conventions such as
bright colours. Photographs used are appropriate to the task. Good use of
photoshop skills, excellent back cover. However more could have been done with
the inside cover – perhaps a message for the fans from the artist next to the photo.
Ancillary Task 2: Poster 9/10
Sophie has demonstrated excellence in the design of her poster for her artist.
There is clear awareness of the industry conventions with the addition of facebook
twitter, amazon icons amongst others. Excellent design skills have been used in
the creation of the bright colourful backdrop which fits the genre well.
