Evaluation – Comments and mark out of 16/20
Question 1: Answered using powerpoint and slideshare. This answer shows
excellent understanding of the forms and conventions used in the production. The
use of 6 areas broken down to show how the video conforms to the genre is
excellent, with great comparisons to real media texts. Good application of
Goodwin’s theory.
Question 2: Answered using prezi. This answer shows proficient understanding of
the combination of main product and ancillary texts. Good break down and
analysis on design decisions throughout. Some good examples of real media texts
used, although this could have been expanded.
Question 3: Answered using wordle and powtoon. This answer shows proficient
understanding of the significance of audience feedback. Class feedback has been
reflected on well. A short questionnaire was undertaken to glean feedback on
which version of the completed video class peers preferred. You could have
sought out further data from a wider group of audience members.
Question 4: Answered using emaze. This answer shows excellent understanding
of the role and use of new media in various stages of the production. All stages
have been covered well using a very visual platform.
Overall there is excellent skill in the use of digital technology and ICT in the
evaluation. There is excellent skill in choice of form in which to present the
evaluation. All work has been communicated well.
