20. Course Description
This course examines principles and methods for faithfully ministering in a
contemporary context in a way that is meaningful to people from diverse
backgrounds. Attention is given to the in
fl
uence of Christianity on culture and
vice versa during the 20th and 21st centuries as well as issues related to
social justice and biblical mercy. Emphasis is placed on American cultural
engagement with apologetic concern and sensitivity to contemporary values.

This is all about North American culture, how it evolved, and how to
understand it by reading âcultural textsâ. Also, itâs about how to engage it with
the gospel without falling into âculture war argumentsâ
