unconscious casualty

Epiglottis会厌：盖样软骨结构，悬于喉入口处，以防吞咽时食物
误入喉与气管
■ The tongue will fall to the back of his throat and block the
airway 缺氧时间 Sign and symptoms
0-3 mins 头晕、呕吐、脸色苍白
4-6 mins 身体发紫
10 mins/ above 昏迷

6. Noisy breathing means breathing is obstructed.
Any things that cause it?
~over the head and face
~around the neck
What should you do?
1. Open airway
2. Clearing airway

7. Breathing rate
■ Adult :12~18/min
■ Children:18~24min
■ Infant:24~30/min
Determine whether a casualty is breathing
■ Open/ clear airway
■ Place your ear above casualty mouth to feel, listen and look
at the chest and abdominal.
