Definition of a wound
wound is an abnormal break in the skin or other tissues of the
body.

3. Classification(分类)of wound and their
causes.

4. Sign and symptoms of severe
bleeding
1. Face and lips pale
2. Skin cold and clammy(粘)
3. Dizzy, faint, restless, talkative
4. Pulse rate rapid ,strength becoming weaker
5. Complains of thirst
6. Breathing swallow

5. How to stop bleeding?
Direct
pressure

6. Pressure points
important artery can be compressed against an underlying
bone to prevent the flow of blood beyond the point.
• Not longer than 10mins
Two pressure points
1. The brachial pressure point

• Certain medical

• Stab wound (刺伤)
• Broken bone
• Blow (捶打)

Fractured base of skull:
blood from ear/ nose
Lungs: bright red blood
Stomach: dark red blood
Upper bowel: black and
tarry blood
Kidney/ bladder:
Smoky red blood

8. Shock
Types of shock: Causes:
1. Anaphylactic shock (过敏) 1.acute heart attacks
2. Cardiogenic shock (心脏) 2.severe bleeding
3. Hypovolemic shock (低血) 3.loss of body fluids(血浆)
4. Neurogenic shock (神经) 4.loss of serum(血清)in bums
5. Psychogenic shock (精神)
6. Septic shock (感染)
From stress or injury producing an insufficient
supply of blood to the brain and other vital organs.

9. Symptoms and signs of shock
•Pale or grey
•Cold and clammy skin with sweating
•Feel sick and vomiting
•Breathing swallow and rapid.

10. Management of shock:
• 1. find out the cause of shock
• 2. lay casualty down and keeps head low
• 3. place in recovery position(unconscious)and
protect with blanket
• 4. moisten lips with water(if casualty thirst)
• 5. move to hospital (keep 10 mins records pulse
and respiration**)
