2. Representation. My music magazine represents those in society who are care free and enjoy the party lifestyle. Young people in my magazine “Strobe” are seen as the typical hedonist party gatecrashers who enjoy a goodtime. However they are not represented as “drunken teenagers” which is how someone people stereotype today's youth.
3. I have used a young musical talent in my magazine to give a more higher profile to my target audience so they are not just seen as trouble makers to the public. However I have still kept the modern representation of a teenager who enjoys going out clubbing, which is typical of someone with a hedonist profile.
4. How are young people represented in my magazine? In a sense my magazine challenges the dominant ideology of how people represent young people. Ideally the representation is that my audience are young, carefree and enjoy life, and not the typical lazy, loud and mouthy youths as they are represented to be. They would be C1/ c2 on the jicnarscale as they are students and live on a basic budget and also classed as hedonists seeing as they live a happy- go lucky lifestyle and enjoy life to the maximum.
6. Dominant Ideology. The Dominant ideology of teenagers today are seen to be lazy, lacking respects and drinking too much. However emergent ideology in some way represents that not all teenagers are like this and that they are talented and do seem to have a good future and carer ahead of themselves if they do not have one already. My media product represents my target audience in a positive way in which they should be resembled.
