3. How I addressed my audience ?
I addressed my audience by providing them with a feel of a formal
Kerrang!, what I mean by this is that this magazine is immature and
not afraid to talk about deep and dark conversations you wouldn’t
find on a pop magazine, However it’s not just dark and gritty but is
also of a formal style which is the audience I’m targeting.
I’m addressing people by the use of my text and images, For
example on my Contents page the images are mostly male
dominated where as my main magazine is focused on a female artist
suggesting that both sexes will enjoy my Magazine but mostly
dominated by males. I have the same consisting font throughout my
whole magazine with some alterations on the titles and headlines
which are from a rocky font. I also have a colour scheme throughout
my magazine consisting of blue, yellow and black.
The artists shown on my contents page are fairly young up and
coming artists for the younger generation, Also has pages focusing
on much older or dead artists such as The Animals and Freddie
Mercury
4. How I attracted my audience ?
I attracted my audience by the use of my Images. My
main image breaks convention as it doesn’t show the
artist in an HD image but in fact the image was
deliberately altered distorted to persuade the reader to
buy this “audacious” magazine.
I’m attracting my audience through the use of gossip in
my main article “Saint or Sinner” as it suggest that either
the artist has really been taking a break or has been
dealing with drug addiction which really attracts the
younger generation as they love to read about the latest
celebrity gossip.
Also, effects I used on my images altered the look of my
magazine and gave it real colour to attract my target
audience through dark, red sinister colours and blue,
yellow colours to attract my audience as it represents
many young subcultures such as, Rockers and Emo’s.
