2. Appeal
To appeal to the chosen audience I decided to use the names of
famous artists with a pre-established fanbase as the headings on
the cover and the contents page instead of the usual sensationalist
headline as this will stand out to the niche market I'm aiming for. I
tried to include as many of the biggest artists names in the genre as
they would have larger fan bases which would mean a higher
chance for a larger consumption of the product.
3. Language
When writing the text for the magazine I chose to use language that
is in common usuage among the audience and to not over
complicate the article with vocabulary that would not be easily
comprehensible to the audience. Using appropriate language for the
targeted audience makes the product more digestible and will result
in a higher consumption.
4. Artists featured, imagery, and
meeting the requirements of an
audience
The artists I used for the magazine are mostly famous artists in the
genre that only get a slight portion of mainstream coverage.
Choosing artists that only get a small amount of media coverage
allows for the magazine to fill the gap for news coverage on these
artists and this allows for their fans to have a source of information
and news that wouldn't normally be there. The imagery used was
also of these types of artists that don't usually get a big amount of
media coverage and so has the same effect.
